This is Lead Veterinary Surgeon role which will require you working sole charge taking the reins on a 4-day week with 1:4 weekends. This role would suit an experienced Vet, looking to take the next step in their career.
The practice is well equipped benefitting from digital Xray, ultrasound, (S6 from IMV), IM3 dental machine, tonopen and Abaxis biochemistry and haematology machines. If you wanted additional equipment to develop a new service/ skill or standard, then the team are more than happy to discuss. Endoscopy, multiparameter monitoring, bair hugger, and ventilator are also available at the Hospital branch (12 miles away), where full overnight support is also provided for critical/complex cases requiring 24/7 nursing.
This role will include a mixture of consulting, case workup and surgery. You will also actively encourage the development of team members, provide training, easily accessed support and clinical guidance. The practice is supported by two highly trained RVN’s (one a Senior), who offer extended nurse clinics including physiotherapy and nutrition consults. There is also a permanent VCA on reception trained in bereavement support and several student nurses and trainees.
An ability to work up and follow through cases, work sole charge and be a keen Surgeon, are all essential to this role. As is an ability to train others, lead by example, provide mentorship and support, and provide constructive, at -the-time feedback are also required. You will also be able to communicate effectively with a diverse team and maintain a positive work-based culture are essential for this role.
In return for your dedication and hardwork you will receive a salary starting at 50k - 60k+. Additional certificates and experience may negotiate you a higher salary bracket. Plus as part of the larger group you will receive:

Our client has a group of 6 Small Animal Practices based in West Yorkshire, who are now looking for a Full Time Senior Vet to join them.
They are a first opinion small animal practice with their own hospital facilities and dedicated night service. The group is close to Leeds for those who like the city life and handy for the Yorkshire Dales if you prefer the outdoors. Leeds Bradford International Airport is also on the doorstep.
There are 22 vets and 7 Veterinary Nurses and have certificate holders in ECC, surgery and ophthalmology. The experienced team means that they can deal with surgical and medical cases in house meaning that you can follow your own cases.
They now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to be involved in the running of a busy first opinion branch surgery. The successful candidate will be involved in supporting new graduates, supervising nurse clinics and overseeing the day to day organisation of the branch. Working five days a week plus 1 in 5 Saturday mornings, one full weekend in five with time off in lieu, 3 x 8.30 - 6.00 and 2 x 8.30 - 5.00 in an average week but no out of hours. The preferred candidate will be an experienced small animal vet who is happy with all aspects of first opinion small animal work. It is essential that they have excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team. They must be happy with sole charge work and be able to support less experienced veterinary surgeons.

The role is full time, working a 4-day week with no OOH.
Duties will include the management of hospitalised patients, plus consults and work ups for internal and external referrals.
As a Medicine Clinician you will be someone who can lead the team in developing advanced medical clinics and procedures, you will receive excellent support from Advanced Practitioners and Certificate Holders in a variety of other disciplines within the team plus a knowledgeable and experienced nursing team.
Salary will be depending upon experience, certification, Advanced Practitioner status, and referral experience and expected to be in the region of 55k-70k plus:
6 weeks paid holiday, including Bank Holidays
2500 CPD Allowance per annum, minimum (funding for additional certificates available)
