Full or Part Time Veterinary Surgeon near Tooting Bec open to new graduates

Our client pride themselves on offering high quality vet care at prices affordable to all. Based near Tooting Bec in London they are now looking for a Full or Part Time Veterinary Surgeon to join them.

They take pleasure in being able to offer a full range of first opinion veterinary services at affordable prices, without compromising on care. The practice is in a superb location being just a 5 minute walk from Norbury train station. The clinic has light, large and airy consult rooms, dedicated x-ray and ultrasound room; modern theatre and prep area; in house lab; dental machine and separate cattery and kennels. They also have the tools for basic orthopaedics available for suitably experienced candidates.

The friendly team consists of 3 vets, 2 RVN's' 2 ANA's, 3 receptionists and a highly experienced Practice Principal. CPD’s are encourages and supported. The highly experienced Practice Principal regularly provides rewards to the team with monthly practice star award celebrates the employee’s achievements.
The position will be open to full and part time hours, with flexibility around the rota and hours available. The Practice Principle is very experienced and can therefore offer support to new graduates as well. The practice has a proven track record in supporting new graduates and the practice sees a broad range of cases providing great exposure in your first vet role.

Surgery is on a rotational basis within the team with an interesting mix of soft tissue surgery, imaging and dentistry planned for surgical days, this is supported by an experienced nursing team.

Typically, this position is 4/5 days per week working a combination of early shifts (8am-4.30pm) and late shifts (11am – 7.30pm), with 1:3 Saturdays, no OOH. However, they understand that one size doesn’t necessarily fit all, and so they may be able to offer a degree of flexibility around this standard pattern.

Consultations are 15mins, with admin time incorporated into your diary allowing you to focus on delivering patient care, without the pressure of needing to squeeze admin in between. Teamwork is very important to them and they actively encourage knowledge-sharing on cases to ensure good patient outcomes.

Our ideal candidate would be experienced, and RCVS registered. Excellent communication skills are required together with strong surgical skills and the ability to meet deadlines. You must be a motivated individual with a focus on delivering exceptional service to clients.
