SA Vet with hours to suit - Isle of Wight - Up to £70K DOE, plus Relocation Package & Welcome Bonus

Our client based in the beautiful Isle of Wight are looking for a Small Animal Vet with hours to suit you. The client has a proactive and flexible approach to recruiting new team members and are open to discussing the hours that suit you – whether you’re considering a full-time, part-time, term-time or solely on call contract.

The practice is fully equipped with state-of-the-art equipment which includes a CT scanner, laparoscopic surgery, video endoscopy, new ultrasound in this brand-new purpose-built surgery. The team are supportive and encouragement to persue your interest is encouraged with a generous CPD allowance. The practice prides itself on providing an excellent work/life balance and time off to explore the area.

While you aren’t at work you soon come to realise you are living somewhere quite special. When you are not at work there are regular ferry crossings to the mainland (80 per day) and you have the coastal scenery, sailing, surfing, paddle boarding, golf, horse riding and some beautiful pubs. Some of the best walking and cycling routes the UK has to offer are right on the island. Quality of life and work life balance are second to none.

The on-call rota is shared equally between vets for weekend and weeknight duties, all hours will be considered upon application and the practice is currently working on minimalizing the on call duties. The practice are happy to accommodate specific interests so you can make this role your very own with options to perform more surgery or more consultations, other vets prefer to be out on the road more doing home visits.

Preferably you will have experience as a veterinary surgeon in clinical practice. The client is happy to consider candidates that are happy to work flexibly in a team environment and who are keen to enhance their skillset with additional CPD.

Starting salary is from 70k, dependent upon experience, with a very generous Welcome Bonus and Relocation allowance.

They are now looking for a Full Time Clinical Director to guide and develop the practice and take it to the next level. You may only be 3 miles off the south coast, an hour from the mainland with 80 ferry crossings per day, but right on your doorstep, you have the coastal scenery, sailing, surfing, paddleboarding, golf, horse riding and some beautiful pubs - which the team sample together on regular team socials. Our practice currently has 3 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse, 4 Receptionists, and 2 Veterinary Surgeons with a 3rd also on maternity leave. As the Clinical Director will have overall clinical leadership and responsibility to drive this practice forward and into the future, this includes vet mentoring, vet rotas, and associated admin time. You will also have budget responsibility and accountability. The out of hours is currently provided externally. The current shift pattern includes working Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week. The salary for this role is up to 75,000 depending on experience. Ideally you will be an experienced clinician with the drive and ambition to push this fabulous clinic forward.
