Full or Part Time Small Animal Vet - The Wirral

One client is one the of the largest small animal practices on The Wirral, with 3 surgeries in local area. They offer same-day care to sick pets, looking after animals as if they were their and provide 24 hour support to ensure that pets are always looked after whilst they are their care.

The practice has a very experienced team including both a Surgical Certificate and an Internal Medicine Certificate holders and continuing CPD is supported within the practice. There is an energetic team working atmosphere where everybody's contribution is appreciated and support is readily given. There are regular meetings within the vet team, where they discuss cases and treatment options in support of each other.

The clinic is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon with experience to integrate within their friendly team. The role available is either full (4.5 days) or part time (3 days) plus 1:5 weekends, negotiable for the right candidate. They actively encourage further studies such as certificates and have the case load to support this. On the clinical side of things, you'll be tasked with all aspects of first opinion consults and routine surgeries with a varied and interesting case load, with limited sole charge. The practice encourage in-house case work up with the support from visiting specialists when required, however they are also happy to refer cases when appropriate. Salary range 40,000 - 50,000 (FTE) depending on experience. Ideally you will have well-developed communication skills and are capable and confident in case management, and confident in their diagnostic and surgical abilities.

Our independent client in North Wales would like to welcome a new graduate veterinary surgeon to their team of 8 veterinary surgeons. Interests within the team include, orthopaedics, cardiology, ophthalmology, feline medicine, ultrasonography, soft tissue surgery. They keep as much work in house as possible but have a great network of visiting specialist to call upon where needed. They are very keen to turn complex cases into development and learning opportunities for their less experienced vets. The successful candidate will have a dedicated GDP advisor to ensure all their development needs are met. Our client take on a new graduate every three years or so are well versed in the development needs of new graduates. All full time vets spend 2 days per week operating. Rotas are planned 12 months in advance so the team are able to plan their lives. They also offer 5 weeks holidays plus bank holidays and a 4 day week plus Saturday mornings on a rota with OOH's outsourced to Vets Now.
Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced small animal veterinary surgeon to join our long established, friendly, growing practice near Stockport. The team pride themselves on client satisfaction and provide their clients with the highest standard of customer care. They keep all communication open by providing progress reports on results, prognosis, treatment options and costs involved at all times. The clinic is well equipped practice with their own Dental suite, 3 consulting rooms an operating theatre and they are also an RCVS accredited and approved Nurse training practice. Based in a very friendly town with a variety of local shops and a large supermarket, the Peak Forest Canal is on the outskirts of the town which is located only 20 minutes away from vibrant Manchester in one direction and the beautiful Peak District in the other, with excellent transport links by road and rail. This role can be flexible, but they are offering a minimum of a 3-day week with Saturday mornings on a 1 in 4 basis. There is no OOH or on call. The close-knit team is made up of 7 Vets, 7 Nurses and a team of 6 receptionists. They provide a high standard of care, and value and encourage professional growth for all of their staff; encouraging staff discussions and input through monthly meetings and regular appraisals. Working from a purpose-built practice with off road parking and two operating theatres, in-house laboratory, tonometry and a multi parameter. And are a cat friendly clinic and working towards being a rabbit friendly practice also. The team are flexible for the new Vet to work either full or part time. The full-time working pattern runs from 9am -7pm with a half day each week. Mornings are a mix of operating or consulting from 9am – 12pm with one-hour admin at the end of the morning.
