Full or Part Time Senior Small Animal Vet - near Woking

Our client has a long established, Small Animal Veterinary Group based near Woking, who are looking for a Full Time Senior Veterinary Surgeon.

As a progressive practice they have recently relocated to their brand new, purpose-built hospital and continue to invest to refurbish and equip the other 2 practices to the same high standard. The practice maintains state of the art clinical equipment such dental radiography, Virtual Veterinary equipment (VVS) ultrasound scanners, anaesthetic multiparameter and patient warming equipment. They also have a purpose-built grooming salon at the main site. They have a loyal client base and a gold standard reputation across the local community.
The team of 7 Veterinary Surgeons are supported by 10 great Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Veterinary Nurses and experienced Receptionists across the Group. They have a family like culture in practice and have embedded an ethos to truly support and encourage amongst the team.

This is a full-time position, (however they are open to consider part time/flexible working) offering the opportunity to enjoy a superb work/life balance with a 4-day week, no OOH and 2:6 weekends -1) Saturday 8am-4pm & Sunday 9am-11am or 2) Saturday AM - with time back in lieu.

The Senior Veterinary Surgeon would have the opportunity to collectively help design the new refurbishment of this practice with the Clinical Director, as well as clinically manage other nearby branches. This role would have involvement with the financial aspect of the business, as well with the ongoing development of the team and practice. There may also be the opportunity for the right candidate to progress to Clinical Director Level in the future.

With a high proportion of insured clients and the scope to work up cases, they are looking for a dedicated, compassionate and proactive individual, competent in medicine and general surgery and who takes pride in providing exceptional client and patient care. The ideal candidate will have a passion for surgery, with strong skill set (ideally orthopaedic). They are looking for an avid team player, who can truly get on board with the family culture they have in practice. They need a candidate who has previous leadership experience who is keen to further develop as a leader.
