Our client is an independent small animal practice based near Burton Upon Trent who are looking for a full or part time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team.
This award-winning team is a is a small family run business located in the heart of Swadlincote. The practice is a trusted service to local people, caring for their fur babies throughout their life. From routine vaccines and preventative health care through to advanced surgical procedures or holistic care. The practice has all the latest kit and offer a wide range of services, including laparoscopy, Ophthalmology and Soft Tissue Referrals.
You will be joining a team of 5 vets, 11 nurses including RVN’s, SVN’s and ACA’s and 4 receptionists. The staff all play an important role in providing the best of care to patients and their owners. The position of RVN is a critical one that supports the Vets, Receptionists and other Nurses by ensuring the animals in their care are looked after to the highest standard. The staff are a friendly team who all work hard and help each other, the right candidate for this role will be an excellent communicator and team worker. Nursing skills are very much encouraged, including schedule 3 work to ensure a varied workload and job satisfaction. Organisational skills are critical as there will be times when you may be required to work under your own supervision with a list of tasks to complete.
Being part of the practice family you will enjoy having fun when the hard work is done. This is done on an ad-hoc basis from week to week but also as part of our regular social gatherings (e.g. summer BBQ and Christmas party).
Salary will be dependent on experience.
