Full or Part Time Registered Veterinary Nurse - near Brighton

Our client based north of Brighton is looking for a Full or Part Time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them

The practice cover all aspects of small animal and exotic veterinary care and day to day Nurse duties will include: monitoring anaesthetics, assisting Vets, running in house diagnostics, X-rays and supporting customers. They encourage nurses to make the role their own, supporting training and new ways of thinking, with opportunities to run Nurse clinics/CPD evenings and open days if this is something that interests you. You will also have the opportunity to work with visiting imaging and endoscopy specialists. The clinic offers laparoscopic procedures in house and offer full training in the set up and monitoring of procedures. In your position you will have the responsibility of looking after the bloods machine with monthly maintenance and monitoring. There are 2 very experienced full time Vets with a wealth of knowledge in small animal and exotic care. The clinic is large, roomy and has recently been refurbished.

We have 2 very experienced Veterinary Surgeons and a Locum Vet once a week. There is 1 Head Nurse, 1 full time Nurse and 1 part time Nurse. In addition there are 2 Receptionists, a Animal Nursing Assistant and a Practice Manager.

The practice is looking for both full time and part time opportunities available. Working a mixture of early and late shifts between; 8:30am -7:00pm Monday to Friday and Saturdays 8:30am-13.00pm on a rota system. No out of hours work. You will be a recruit a hardworking, fun-loving Registered Veterinary Nurse, who likes to be a real team player. They would like you to take this role and make it your own, bringing new fresh ideas to the team. A positive can-do attitude and excellent bedside manner is a must.

Our client’s group was founded in 1958 and is now part of a larger group based in the Worthing area. They are now looking for a Full Time Registered veterinary Nurse to join the team. The client is in partnership with Vetsnow, who looks after the OOH’s on site. They have approximately 100 team members across 7 sites. They are a busy hospital, dealing with 1st Opinions and Referrals. The specialist services include diagnostic imaging with on-site CT, orthopaedics, cardiology, soft tissue medicine and internal medicine. There are 2 Certificate Holders with certificates in Medicine, Cardiology, Surgery, and Diagnostic Imaging. They also have a visiting Diploma Holder, specialising in Cardiology. The ideal candidate will be motivated to lead and who has an interest in running Practice Nurse Clinics held both at the main hospital and local branches. Our independent client based in West Sussex are looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team on a permanent basis. Our client has a group of three practices in the Crawley area and they are looking for a Full Time Registered Veterinary Nurse. Based in a beautiful area, with good transport links to London and Brighton. Our client is a well-established Veterinary Hospital in West Sussex on the Southern Coast of England and have been providing services to the local community for 28 years. They have 2 branch clinics within a 20-minute drive and ample, free car parking at all 3 sites. The team are now looking for a Full Time Registered veterinary Nurse Coordinator to join their team. The surgery is loaded with all the usual toys including; Digital Xray, Ultrasound, Endoscopy, Cryosurgery, Radiosurgery and a fully equipped lab. Our client located on the beautiful South of England coast are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their existing team. Located between the City of Chichester and Bognor Regis this small animal practice has a main Hospital and 2 branch practices - both branches are run independently, with their own facilities. All mod cons are available to each practice, be it in house or at a sister surgery. Ultrasonography, Endoscope, Digital Radiography, Dental Radiography and Advanced laboratory equipment. This is a team in the process of expanding but currently they have 4 permanent Veterinary Surgeons, 3 locums, 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Veterinary Nurses and 5 Animal Nursing Assistants. The team are also developing their skill set with some staff memmbers hoping to gain certification in Surgery and Emergency and Critical Care - the team encourage all forms of personal development. The practice is in the process of gaining Cat Friendly status from ISFM along with the existing team gaining Fear Free status, all in the aid for a more stress-free environment for patients. The team also pride themselves on their outstanding work with local Wildlife and work closely with 2 local wildlife charities and the RSPCA. The role is for either a full time or part time position, covering a 5 day a week rota. The team currently run a shift pattern, 8-hour day, Monday to Friday, 7am to 9pm. But this is subject to flexibility to facilitate a work life/family life balance, should the suitable candidate require. There may be minimal branch work required and this will be on a shared rotation with all nursing staff. Ideally the ability to join the weekend rota, that is currently on rotation of approximately 1:6 Saturday morning shifts from 8am to 12pm (with flexibility due to the nature of the job!) But this is not essential. The out of hours is currently covered by a dedicated off-site team, but this could change in the future and again will be flexible. You will enjoy a varied workload, covering all aspects of a thriving hospital environment including but not limited to: Theatre work, Inpatient care, Preparing and recovering day patients, Assisting Veterinary Surgeons, Running laboratory tests, Running nurse clinics, Helping to develop a wider range of clinics such as weight and geriatric clinics, Running puppy parties, Running socialisation classes, Occasional reception work.
