Full or Part Time Co-Clinical Director near Chesterfield

Our client has a two-site small animal practice in Derbyshire. They are now looking for a Co-Clinical Director join their management team, to help mentor the team and the practice with full support and development.

This is an existing of 5 Veterinary Surgeons, 9 Registered Veterinary Nurses and 1 Student Veterinary Nurse with a large support team. The practice is well equipped with all the usual kit, including digital x-ray, ultrasound, dental x-ray, endoscope, and a full in-house lab, with the addition of a k-laser to support our chronic pain services. This is a supportive practice and encourage regular case discussions as case continuity is also very important to them. This a dedicated, talented group of like-minded professionals - it's a busy role but you will have strong support from a wise and experienced Management team, an excellent efficient Reception team and an exceptional, super-friendly Veterinary Nursing team who are hungry for knowledge and keen to achieve the highest standards of care. is an emergency team are on site so there is peace of mind for overnight care providing a much-improved work/life balance. They are all committed to developing and improving the practice and are determined to make it the best it can be.

They are now looking for a Co Clinical Director to join them. This is a full or part time (hours to suit the candidate’s needs) role working 40 hours over 4.5 days per week. Main surgery hours are 8:30am-6:30pm and there is a requirement to take part in the 1 in 5 weekend rota covering Saturday and Sunday morning surgery. There are no out of hours required with this role as these are looked after by VetsNow who work from the building. You will be an RCVS Registered Veterinary Surgeon with competence in all routine medical and surgical procedures. Specific interests are welcomed and encouraged. Travel between branches is necessary, so you must have a UK driving licence and your own transport.

This is a busy small animal practice seeing medical and surgical cases every day. Responsibilities will include inpatients, operations, and your own caseload. As a Co Clinical Director, you will take some responsibility for the day to day running of the practice and bring your ideas, thoughts and aspirations and any specialisations will be encouraged.
