They are a growing practice and therefore can offer flexible terms for a vet to join them on a fixed term or potentially permanent capacity. They can consider full or part time hours or somewhere in between including some Saturdays on a rota. But No OOH’s

They have a good set up with a supportive working environment and great facilities. They also have a certificate holder in Medicine. They are looking for someone with good skills, who is passionate about animal welfare

This client are looking for a full time vet to join their 10 vet mixed practice in beautiful West Wales. They have a supportive, caring and adaptable culture, provide great clinical support and actively promote and encourage a healthy life balance. The team are passionate about supporting all of their vets£ interests and as such, are able to offer work within either their mixed animal team, truly mixed role. You would be part of a varied team of vets, RVNs, ANAs and receptionists that are committed to providing compassionate and professional patient care. The vets are a team of experienced small and large animal vets and some spritely new and recent grads, all with a variety of experiences, interests and backgrounds, including a certificate holder, Mastitis Control Plan deliverer and an AHDB Mobility Mentor. The nursing team comprises a certificate holder, dental and behavioural interests and a farm vet tech. They are also an RVN training practice. The full time role is ideally a 40 hour week, although the team are able to offer part-time roles and flexible working patterns over days that are right for the whole team. They team have no evening surgeries and opening hours are 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday. The team are also able to offer no weekend work or OOH shifts should this be preferred. They provide a positive and sustainable working environment and are keen to support interests and responsibilities outside of work. The small animal hospital is undergoing an exciting re-vamp to improve the first-rate patient care the team are able to provide. There is free use of the practice flat, located directly above the hospital, for when needs arise. The large animal approach is driven by the teams pride in providing a proactive perspective on welfare, flock/herd health and all things farm, as well as offering and supporting clients with the more traditional services. The Farm team run frequent farmer meetings and workshops and boast steady involvement in a variety of on-farm research projects. The team are looking for a professional and considerate practitioner with experience in clinical practice who can make, follow-through and reflect on their own decisions and get involved in the teams good-humoured practice discussions. Our client has a well-established, first opinion practice based in Cardiff, with access to an excellent mix of countryside and city life. Across the 3 branches, they are well-equipped with an in-house lab, digital x-ray, K laser, u/s scanner, Laparoscopic and endoscopic equipment, and dental x-ray. The practice facilities allow the team to do as much as possible in-house, allowing the vet’s full clinical freedom. The team is made up of 5 vets, 6 nurses and a dedicated support function including an experienced practice manager. Across the team they have a wealth of experience so there is good support both surgically and medically - all of them are willing to help one another and discuss cases. Every day at the practice is different, you will carry out 15-minute consults, with time to read up cases and call clients, so you will not be at the end of the day with a long to-do list. Due to the sole charge, they are looking for some experience in consulting, the role will also include some surgery time but this can be altered if you prefer the medical aspect. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving excellence in customer service and clinical care whilst promoting pet wellbeing, delivering preventive services, treating sick and injured pets. The working day is 9 am-7 pm with a lunch break in the middle. They use a dedicated emergency service, so no nights or weekends, (other than rota’s Saturday mornings 9 am-1 pm). The client wants staff to have an excellent work/life balance, the full-time vets work a 4-day week and always get the same day off each week so this can be achieved. The salary is up to 65,000 + benefits (subject to experience). An experienced veterinary surgeon is required, ideally, with leadership and management knowledge, relevant experience preferred but mentoring and support is available. Our client in South Wales have a fantastic opportunity for a new graduate small animal vet to join their friendly and experienced team. In this role, you will be provided with a real work-life balance and career progression, so you can achieve your full potential. The team is made up of 13 vets, including 3 GDP mentors and certificate holders in Surgery, Medicine, and Radiology, as well as a visiting Cardiologist – meaning there is excellent case support when required and great learning opportunities. The practice is spread across 4 well-equipped, RCVS accredited sites, and there is a varied and interesting caseload. They have all the usual toys you would expect, and all branches have ultrasound, digital x-ray, and blood analysers. There is 24-hour care available Monday to Friday at the groups main site in Abergavenny, ensuring Vets are able to provide fantastic patient care and really learn from their cases. Very little is referred, although full clinical freedom is given where this is required. Full time vets work a four-day week with 1 in 5 Saturdays, and a weeknight inpatient only on-call rota. There is a dedicated night shift nurse on-site overnight, so Vets are only called when necessary and full support from experienced Vets will be available. Emergency calls out-of-hours are covered by an external out-of-hours provider. Inpatients are transferred Saturday afternoon, so there is no Saturday evening, Sunday, or Bank Holiday work. The team believe this rota gives staff a great opportunity to be able to follow cases through to learn and develop, while still allowing plenty of free time away from work. The rota is designed with set breaks throughout the day for phone calls/case research. You will experience a great mix of consulting and operating, both at the hospital and at Branches. Sole charge will not be required until you have the necessary skills and confidence. The team are experienced in helping New Graduates start their professional career. There is a Practice culture of case discussions among colleagues, with questions encouraged. The rota is designed to ensure an experienced Vet will always be available, so New Graduates can develop their confidence and own surgical case load. Our client has two practices in the area and are looking for a Full Time Small Animal Vet to join them. Both sites are purpose-built to run independently and fully equipped to care for patients if they need a workup. There are excellent facilities in both branches, such as in-house blood, CR, ultrasound, and surgical capability, to name but a few. The practices are in a beautiful location - easily commutable from vibrant Cardiff, with the Brecon Beacons to the North and glorious beaches to the South. The clinic runs 15-minute consults, with catch up time blocked off during the day and the last consult booked 45 minutes before the end of the day, so there’s a chance to leave early. The shift pattern for full-time is 38 hours across 4 days per week on a fixed rota day off per week, with 1:3 Saturdays 9 am-12 pm and time back in lieu. No out of hours work. Our client is part of a large group of practice near Caerphilly who are looking for a full time Small Animal Vet to join their team. A good work life balance is very important and therefore this role is to work a 4 day week and is also open to part time applications, with hours to suit the right candidate. Weekends are on a fair rota basis with no OOH. The branch is just a 5 minute drive away from the beautiful Caerphilly Castle which is a popular favourite amongst the team who frequently sit and enjoy their lunch overlooking this historical landmark. The practice is also just a 30 minute drive from Cardiff city centre and is close to all local amenities. The practice is fully equipped and also has its own in house lab area, x-rays and ultrasound machine plus the back up of 24 hour hospital and certificate holders. The team consist of an experienced RVN, Nursing Assistant and 2 part time Receptionist and the surgery has a good strong client base with room for growth. With this is mind you must have previous experience and be comfortable with routine surgeries, consults and sole charge.
