Fantastic Opportunity for SA Veterinary Surgeon in Staffordshire

This modern, well equipped practice are looking for a new Veterinary Surgeon to join their team on a permanent basis.
This position is due to growth and so the existing team are ready and able to provide support from day one. Each of the existing Vets have a minimum of 4 years experience, alongside the knowledgeable team of nurses and accomplished receptionists this really is a team that works well together.

This is a perfect opportunity for a new or recent graduate but if you have more experience then the team would be more than happy to speak to you too and see if they can offer the caseload you are looking for.

You would be joining this team at a very exciting time for the practice as they start to open back up to the public (after lockdown) and be able to show off the fabulous facilities they now have at this well respected single site practice. The team are approachable and practice a high standard of medicine, they have visiting specialists in orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery and ultrasound. They also have an on-site acupuncturist service in the unique woodland room, a large prep room, 2 surgical theatres with ante room and changing area and a seperate dental theatre including dental x-ray. Plus seperate cat ward, dog ward (with 6 large walk-in kennels as well as smaller kennels) and isolation ward. They have great equipment including digital imaging, multiparameter GA monitoring, tonopen and blood pressure monitors etc.

The team of vets are all very experienced in different areas with one of the vets having a PGCert in surgery, one providing acupuncture and another is just starting their ophthalmology certificate. The nursing team have a variety of interests including exotics, wound management, anaesthesia and nutrition.

This is a full time role with only 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (8am-1pm) and no OOH's. The team operate 20 minute appointments across the board allowing to build a great client relationship. You will be able to offer same day and emergency only appointments in the diary every day to try and make sure youe have time to deal with those little “extras” and enjoy a full hour for lunch plus at least an hour booked each day for management (phone calls, case updates, CPD). There are green spaces / National Trust properties close at hand if you like to get out of the practice over lunch time!

You must have a positive attitude, a willingness to help and the enthusiasm to learn to be succesful in this team. The ideal canddiate will be someone who has empathy with clients and their pets and a desire to practice good medicine. Someone who wants case continuity and to know the clients and patients they treat by name. The ability to communicate effectively with both clients and staff is vital. This client value teamwork and appreciate staff taking part in case discussion and contributing ideas to improve our practice.
