Experienced Veterinary Surgeon (12 months plus) Vacancy, North West London, Maternity Cover

Our North West client in North West London require a veterinary surgeon with 12 months plus experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will have the confidence to manage some of their own caseload and happy with routine soft tissue surgery. Support is available form the two other veterinary surgeons in the practice.

Working a 4 day week as standard with a share of weekend on a rota, this role offers great work life balance. There are no OOH's with this role as an OOH's service provider are used.

The practice is well equipped with digital and dental X-ray, ultrasound and full lab equipment.

The role is easily commutable from; Watford, Harrow, Pinner Ruislip, Wembley and Stanmore.

Tbhis is initially a cover role, however after the period of maternity cover ends our client is 100% sure they will be able to convert this to a permanent role locally.

Our client based near Finchley, North West London have a vacancy for a vet comfortable with routine surgeries and medical cases to join them. There are currently 2 vets in this practice, plus this vacancy, so there is very limited sole charge required. The incoming vet will work a 4 day week with a share of weekend on a 1/6 basis. The practice is well equipped, with equipment such as, ECG, Ultrasound, Digital X-ray. full lab including bio-chem and haemotology as well as full ex-lap kit. The successful candidate will work a 7 night on 14 night off rota providing exceptional work life balance. As a busy first opinion practice, they are looking for a vet with experience in managing their own routine soft tissue surgeries and medical cases. This practice in Central London is easily commutable from areas such as Fulham, Kensington, Chelsea, Notting Hill and Bayswater The Lead Vet in the practice has an excellent local reputation and they are very well set up for complex surgical cases, diagnostic imaging and dental work. This is small team, of 2 vets, including this vacancy, in a highly sought after area. As such, the incoming vet will be a pivotal member of the team, getting involved with a really varied caseload. No need to see the interesting cases being passed onto the rest of the team. Most of the time the role is working with the Lead Vet, however there are occasions of sole charge and candidates must be happy with that. This role is based on a 4 day week with 1/3 Saturdays with a small share of bank holidays. Our hospital client in South London have an opportunity for a CertSAS (or equivalent) veterinary surgeon to join them. Very easy access to London whilst working in a popular leafy suburb. The role would involve the practices own, complex soft tissue and orthopaedic work as well as referral work from a number of local practices. The practice is very well equipped for many orthopaedic surgeries. As well as laparoscopic equipment digital x-rays, endoscopy and ultrasound, a CT is in the planning. Our client are flexible to discuss working patterns, 4 day week, 5 day week, 7 days on seven days off etc. The ole is busy and would really suit full time vets. That said, vets looking for part time could be considered. Weekends are on a 1/6 basis. An exceptional package will be available for the right candidate, bringing the right experience ITRO 70-80k. Our hospital client in this South London leafy suburb has a large team of 5 vets and very varied caseload. Positioned where they are, they have excellent links to central London. Interests within the practice include imaging, ECC and surgery and certificates an be supported and funded within any small animal discipline. Ideally candidates will have a medical bias with an interest in ultrasonography, but this is not a prerequisite. The practice is busy and fast paced so candidates must have adequate experience to confidently deal with the majority of their own medical and routine surgical caseloads and subsequent recommendations so realistically, this particular role is not suitable for very recent graduates. Support with unfamiliar cases is of course readily available. As an RCVS Tier 3 Hospital, they opperate their on OOH's service. For this they have a dedicated team. All day vets support the night team for around 2 weeks per year. The rota is based on a 4 day week with 1/6 weekends.

This wonderfully independent practice with 2 clinics in North London are looking for an experienced small animal vet to join them on a permanent basis. Currently the owner and Veterinary surgeon, with over 30 years experience, is working on his own and is looking to grow the practice to 3 vets over the coming months - they certainly have the caseload and workload to keep 3 vets busy. The team has a great, experienced and supportive team of nurses and receptionists - the Head Nurse has a certificate in Exotics and has been described as the best nurse a practice could ask for. This is very much a close knit team who like to dicsuss cases together and who are all happy to lend a hand when the going gets tough. The role itself is to be split over the 2 sites, approx 2.5 miles apart, and will involve consults in the morning at one clinic and surgery in the afternoon in the second clinic where they have in house ultrasound, x-ray, dental xray and an in house lab. The team can work up cases to a high level in house and offer the best care to their patients and clients. OOH is covered by a local practice. The team can be flexible on either a 4 or 5 day week, but must include 1:3 Saturdays (9-11am / 12-2pm at each clinic). Salary is dependent upon experience.
