They see a wide variety of medical and surgical cases and aim to provide the highest standards in patient care. To this end the practice is well equipped and CPD is encouraged with a generous allowance. The ideal candidate must have good prior experience and be a confident GP Vet, although individual interests are encouraged and fully supported.

A 4-day working week, 1:4 weekend Saturday rota with no out of hours, providing a good work/life balance.

The practice is situated in a small town with excellent motorway connections to the Lakes, Liverpool and Manchester.

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced veterinary surgeon to join this first opinion 6 vet team at a purpose built, award winning practice, on the Lancashire coast. This practice has a well-established reputation in the local area and the caseload is very varied, they see a good mixture of routine cases but also some more advanced cases. They are exclusively a first-opinion small animal practice but welcome those with special interests, or those keen to work towards a Certificate. They are also a Vet Nurse training centre. (If you enjoy mentoring this is a great practice for you!) The successful applicant will be self-motivated, have sound first opinion experience in both medicine and surgery; (a surgical bias would be an advantage but not essential), provide an exceptional level of care, have a desire to develop clinically and have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Your role will involve working from a beautiful, light and spacious 12,000 sq foot building that houses separate dental, imaging and chemotherapy suites, surgical and orthopaedic theatres with dedicated cat and dog wards and their very own conference room facilities. This client are keen to keep progressing, with tier 2 status approved, hospital status will come later. In return, you will be fully supported by our new Clinical Director whose aim is to provide a happy balanced working environment where Vets will be actively encouraged to follow and develop their own cases, progressing their clinical expertise through daily case discussion, participation in clinical meetings, outcome audits and undertaking focused CPD. On offer for the right candidate os a salary based on experience, working a 4 day week with no OOH or on call. Weekends are on a 1 in 5 rota. Our client has two sites based in the Blackburn area, who are looking for a Senior Small Animal Vet Surgeon to join their friendly team. The practice has a "family orientated feel" that works well together, they all support each other and aspire to provide the highest standards. The practice is 100% small animal with a large and varied caseload. They have great facilities including; K-Laser, ultrasound, in-house haematology and biochemistry, digital radiography (including dental radiography). The two sites are located near Blackburn and have great commuting links to Manchester, Liverpool, The Lake District and The Yorkshire Dales. The area has three local theatres with live music, comedy and drama and there is also a Museum and Art Gallery locally too. The clinics have a fantastic team over the two surgeries. 5 vets, 6 qualified nurses, 2 ANA, 2 student nurses & they also have 8 experienced support staff. The new Clinical Director has a PG Certificate in Diagnostic Imaging and another vet who has a keen interest in exotics. The ideal candidate will have previous experience and have an enthusiastic approach. You must also be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and be comfortable with all aspects of routine and first opinion procedures and you will be keen to look after and work up your own cases. You will be a good team player with a great sense of humour. Your passion will lie in developing not only your own skills, but those of your colleagues. You will be keen to mentor & support others too. The role will involve daily consulting and operating. You will be providing high quality clinical care to all pets and an outstanding client experience. The role will be full time working a 4 day week with no out of hours and 1:4 Saturdays on a rota. Our client in Oldham ahve a vacancy for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon in their branch practice. Working with a small, dedicated team of nurses and ANA's the Lead vet will be responsible for driving the clinical standard as well as motivating the team. Clinical support is available on demand form the group vets and Clinical Director as well as support for the management aspects which many candidate will not have experienced. This friendly, independent, small animal practice in North East Manchester are looking for 2 confident veterinary surgeons to join their 7 vet team. This well equipped practice is highly regarded in the local community and has its own dedicated OOH facility as the team are committed to providing continuity of care that can be relied upon 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They offer a wide range of general practice treatments (including high level orthopaedics and endo-surgery) and operate at a high clinical standard, the business constantly works to raise standards of veterinary care in the region and as a nurse training practice, continue to develop and invest in their team as part of their ethos. The role includes a broad range of first opinion practice from consulting to surgery to lab work-ups; all consults are 15 minute appointments with double appointments as appropriate. The position is full time, working a 40 hour week over either 4x 10hr day or 5x 8hr day shifts, which are rota’d between from 07h45 to 19h30 and you will always be supported by the friendly team of RVNs’. There are some sole charge shifts too and so you must be able to confidently work alone. The Vets work as a team with their own, separately staffed OOH facility – they have a team onsite 24 hours a day. Therefore there are no Out Of Hour shifts with this role. The weekend Saturday hours (8am - 4pm) are shared proportionately, approx 1:4 (moving to 1:6 when fully staffed). After a Saturday worked you will be given the following Monday off as time in lieu and so will always have a 2 day weekend. With no targets or upselling pressure, the position is about offering excellent quality and service to our loyal client base. We are currently recruiting a small animal veterinary surgeon for our independent client in Lancashire, North West England. Whilst there will only be very little sole charge, the ideal candidate will have already gained some practice experience and be happy with some routine procedures and medical cases.
