SA Vet Required for Large Certificated Team in West Sussex, New graduates considered

My client are a large purpose built practice based in West Sussex close to the southern coast towns of both Worthing and Brighton and are within an hours train journey into Central London.

The practice has been established for 8 years and grown quickly to a team of 25, including 7 vets, 8 RVNs.

Of the 7 Vets 3 are Medicine certificate holders and the others have interests ranging from Surgery, Exotics, Opthalmology, ultrasonography and acupuncture, allowing the team to treat a range of cases inhouse.
Several of the nurses have nursing diplomas including in anaesthesia and feline medicine and all nurses are extremely efficient and their skills are fully utilised in the practice. The strength and experience of the nursing team is the key factor in allowing the vets to do the job that they do. The team also has two fantastic trainee nurses supported by a clinical coach and an animal nursing assistant with an animal management diploma.

The whole team have a passion for providing the highest standard of care and are invested in providing the best possible client and patient journey. They take great pride in the surgery in terms of keeping it well organised, clean and tidy which makes for a nice working environment and a welcoming space for clients too. They work closely with several local charities as animal welfare is a key driver.

The practice is looking for someone to come on board who will share the same values and embrace their philosophy. They are able to offer support and mentorship to New graduates or experienced This is a practice where you get out what you put in, and more. The Practice Owner will invest in you and support you with your career goals and aspirations, whether that be supporting a certificate for vets, diploma for nurses or creating learning opportunity to help you develop in your area of interest. She also works hard to ensure people get the right work life balance and listens to what people want and what works for them, and does what she can to make it happen.

The ideal candidate will be a small animal vet with good experience, who can take be proactive in all parts of clinical practice, and deliver excellent client care. however we welcome applications from new or recent graduates as the experience in the team allows mentorship
They are able to be flexible for the right person with regard to hours, based on 40 hours a week but there would be 1:4 weekends on a rota basis, but no OOH's.

Our client is a long established 3 site group near Worthing, who are looking for Full-Time Small Animal Vet to join their team. The practice is located on the south coast with beaches and easy access to the South Downs National Park. There is a friendly team with, nurses doing clinics and some ops. The nurses are experienced and helpful and all enjoy working together and have a shared sense of humour to get them through the day. Facilities include digital x rays, dental x rays, bronchoscope and multi parameter monitoring for GA, ultrasound and would support you in learning to use these. This a friendly and happy practice looking for a likeminded Veterinary Surgeon to join them. There are 6 Vets, 7 Nurses and 12 support staff. They are happy to provide support and support certificates if you have a interest that you would like to develop. They can allow you time to progress with support and coaching. The role would be working 4.5 days in the week on a shift pattern from 8am-7pm. There would be 2:5 Saturday mornings until 2pm but no OOH. They have 15 minute appointments to allow time to discuss cases properly. You would have an operating morning for sterile ops and another one or two for imaging or other procedures. There is a main site and two branches, so you must be flexibnle and provide cover at all three sites. The role is open to new grad or a recently graduated vet. They have a coach and will support you. You need enthusiasm and good communication skills. You need a positive attitude and a sense of humour. You need to bean MRCVS and an interest in imaging would be great but not essential. My clients seek a new small animal vet for their team, and can consider confident new graduates upwards. Situated in a small coastal town with good links to Brighton and Chichester areas, they have a small and friendly team, and a lovely customer base. Looking for the right personality to join them, means they will consider applications from the more recently graduated upwards as the ability to fit into the team is paramount, and support and mentorship is available if required. You will be flexible and adaptable and have the enthusiasm to offer the best patient care.
