Experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse - Full or Part Time - Hampshire

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join this friendly team of 7 RVNs and 4 SVNs across 3 well equipped surgeries on the Hampshire/Surrey border.

The position is full time but the team will consider a part time position for a more experienced RVN. Shifts will include theatre, inpatient care and reception duties.

The team have no on call but do take care of their patients on evenings and weekends on a rota basis. Recently qualified nurses may also enroll on the Vet Nurse Academy and will receive a 1000 bonus on the successful completion of the course.

This client have 3 sites on the North Hampshire/Surrey border in the stunning South Downs. In terms of toys, we have ultrasound, cardiac ultrasound, DR radiography, Dental radiography, Endoscopy, Bronchoscopy, Rhinoscopy, Laparoscopic surgery, Surgical laser, 4 Anaesthetic monitors, Orthopaedic equipment including MMP and SOP kits. There is a team of 4 full time and 2 part time vets. They have a certificate holder in Cardiology who is also studying towards a Medicine Certificate. They do most things in-house orthopaedics, including MMP's, MPL, fracture repair and the majority of medicine investigations. There are vets trained to perform Laparoscopic procedures. There are 2 managers, 5 qualified nurses and 3 trainee nurses at all levels of their training (they have been a nurse training practice for the past 23 years) and 2 receptionists. This role is due to the team of 8 nurses expanding and due to a busy and varied caseload, including laparoscopy, orthopaedics, BOAS and cardiology. The perfect candidate will be enthusiastic in contributing to the ongoing development of nurse clinics, student training, community events and in delivering the highest level of customer care. This is a full-time role, with no night duties and 1:6 weekends. CPD is encouraged and funded. Salary up to 30,000 depending on experience. Our client has two sites between Portsmouth and Southampton and one in the beautiful medieval village of Bishop's Waltham - home to a famous medieval palace. They are now looking for a Full Time Small Animal Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them. Both clinics are well equipped with ultrasound, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, endoscopy and Idexx laboratory machines (Catalyst and Procyte) and they have two consulting rooms at each site as well as dedicated theatres. The best thing about the clinic is not the equipment, it is the team. There are 6 FTE veterinary surgeons with experience ranging from 3-36 years qualified, all of which are excellent, all-round clinicians. They have 10 FTE nurses across the two sites allowing them to provide a 3:1 support to surgeon ratio. They also have 4 FTE receptionists across the two sites and multiple official veterinarians. The duties will include nursing of hospitalised patients, anesthesia, imaging, laboratory work including cytology and running blood samples, scope for schedule three surgery, blood sampling and placing cannulas. The role is Monday to Friday between 07:45 and 19:00 ,2:8 Saturday 8-12 (hours off set to total average 40 hours per week). There are no OOH’s. Our client is a very well-established, 100% small animal practice based near Farnham are looking for a Full Time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team. The practice is located right next to the beautiful South Downs National Park, less than 1 hour from the coast, access to London via train and easy access to Gatwick and Heathrow airport. Shifts will include theatre, inpatient care, and reception duties. There is a varied case load, with no two days the same and they operate 15-minute appointments to allow time to work up cases as needed. The shifts are 8.15 to 4.30 and 10 to 7.30, they can be flexible for the right candidate. This is no on call but the practice do take care of their own hospital patients on a 1:7 rota consisting of evenings and weekends.
