Our client is a well-established 24-hour practice on the South Coast of England, a part of a group of five branches serving the Hastings and Bexhill area. They are now looking for a Full Time Deputy Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them.
They are looking for an experienced nurse who can positively motivate and provide gold standard care to patients and clients, providing excellent client service through clear and effective communication with a compassionate approach, whilst always prioritising patient care. You will be required to undertake general nursing duties including inpatient care, anaesthesia and nurse clinics as well as working with the Head Nurse to provide support and leadership to the nursing team. There will be additional tasks including clinical coaching, rotas, H&S, organisation of twice yearly stocktake and ensuring that all nursing protocols are maintained and complied with.
This is a full-time position working 4 days per week, 1:6 weekends (both Saturday and Sunday) and no OOH hour work.
The clinic welcome vets with a range of experience, including those with interests in orthopaedics, exotics, ultrasonography, and emergency care. They have embedded a supportive culture allowing for investment in all employee’s skill set and specific interests through further study, clinical case exposure and training.
The ideal candidate will ideally have experience working in similar environment with some supervisory experience and preferably clinical coaching. The role is also suitable for experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses looking to follow natural progression. You will be able to lead by example by providing excellent client service whilst demonstrating exceptional nursing care to patients. This role requires excellent communication skills, a positive can-do attitude, a passion for leadership, the ability to work well within a team and a strong work ethic.

They provide out-of-hour emergency care to several practices in the area. Recently refurbished, the clinic is equipped with the full range of diagnostic laboratory equipment, digital x-ray, Doppler ultrasound, endoscopy, and excellent facilities. They are seeking new team members who have an innovative attitude and want to be a part of an exciting time of team growth and maintaining their existing reputable service. They have a team of 25 to 35 talented people across the group, from Veterinary Surgeons, to Registered and Trainee Student Nurses, as well as Receptionist and Support team function, which complete the team.

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be part of a multi-group practice which includes a 24-hour branch caring for inpatients overnight and taking emergencies 24/7 from local branches, as well as from other Veterinary practices in the area. You will work closely with the team across all five branches providing a high level of patient and client care, supporting the Veterinary Surgeons, trainee Nurses and support team to provide an all-round quality service.
This is a full-time role with varying shift patterns, working 1 in 6 weekends with no OOH, however part-time will also be considered. The successful applicant will ideally be an RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse. The ideal candidate will ideally have experience working in similar environment. However, the role is suitable for anyone looking to develop their nursing skills and looking for a new challenge, including newly qualified nurses. Full training will be given in all areas. Having excellent communication skills, the ability to work well within a team and a strong work ethic is essential.

Our client is a two-branch practice nestled on the outskirts of Winnie the Pooh country, Ashdown Forest. They are now looking for a Full Time Small Animal Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team.
The practice is well placed for the historic pantiles and its busy social scene. Both practices have main line train stations to London, Gatwick airport is 40minutes away and the coast, Brighton, is also 40 minutes away. Both practices have excellent facilities, dedicated dental suite, dog and cat wards, ultrasound, endoscopy, digital x-ray and capnograph. They are a 5 Vet practice over two branches, 1 Head Nurse, 3 RVN's, 3 SVN's and a team of support staff. They have a supportive and encouraging culture in practice and have embedded a culture that thrives on this.
If you like a challenge, a role where every day is different and friendly supportive colleagues to work alongside, then this could be the role for you. You could be assisting the operating vet in theatre, supporting clients in clinics, or encouraging the recovery of the animals in the wards. This a full-time position working over 5 days, shift patterns vary but consist of either 8am-5pm, 9am-6pm or 10am-7pm. Plus 1:3 Saturdays (8am-5pm), but no OOH.
You will enjoy the unpredictability of the role, people who will thrive on the unexpected. You must be flexible, enjoy sharing your knowledge and supporting other members of the team. The candidates must be qualified RVN's. Clinical Coach experience would be desirable for one role and essential for another. An interest in Dentals would be great and an interest in clinics and developing client relationships would be favoured. Full UK driving licence is required due to the two sites.
