Experienced Night Vets for 24 Hour Site in East Sussex

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to become part of an experienced night team at this busy 24-hour practice in East Sussex.

Our client are looking for an experienced Small Animal vet to ideally work 7 nights on, 7 nights off (8pm - 8am) but these shifts are up for discussion and the team are open to look at other shift patterns if you are interested.

This practice is part of a group of five branches serving the Hastings and Bexhill area, and provides out-of-hours cover to a number of other practices in the area. Recently refurbished, the clinic is equipped with the full range of diagnostic laboratory equipment, digital x-ray, Doppler ultrasound, endoscopy and excellent facilities.

This is not an opportunity to be overlooked - the team are looking for a bright, personable, enthusiastic and energetic candidate, eager for the challenges of a bustling 24 hour practice.

East Sussex is an area steeped in history, with beautiful countryside, stunning coastlines and an abundance of choice within the art, sports and leisure scenes. We also have the convenience of great links to Brighton, London and Gatwick.

This is a full time position, working 35-40 hours per week including 1:4 Saturdays 8am-4pm but no OOH - providing an excellent work/life balance. Our client are based on the coast near Hastings and are looking for an experienced and competent small animal vet to join them as a Clinical Director. The role is full time for 40 hours per week, across 5 days and weekends on a 1:3 rota, Saturdays mornings only. There are no OOH or Bank Holiday duties and some flexibility in shifts or days may be considered. The ideal candidate will be experienced and competent as a small animal vet. You will manage and lead the team and ensure high standards of care are provided to patients and clients. You will either be looking to take the next in your career, or already have experience in leading and motivating a team. You will lead by example and be a team player with excellent communication skills and positive attitude. The surgery has digital x-ray, ultrasound and in-house laboratory equipment as well as a dedicated surgical room, separate kennels, cattery and upstairs staff room. This lovely independent practice are looking for an experienced vet to join their busy, friendly and supportive team. The practice see a variety of caseload and you will have the opportunity to workup your cases plus enjoy clinical freedom in this progressive environment. You must be capable of routine medical, clinical and surgical duties. The practice actively encourage building and maintaining strong relationships with their clients and their beloved pets and offer a 30 minute consult time. You must also be comfortable with sole charge. Our fantastic Independent client are looking for an Emergency and Critical Care Vet to join their night team on a permanent basis. The night vets work split shifts, either 4pm-12.30am or 10.30pm-9.30am, to allow them to pursue their passion for ECC without becoming exhausted. The team understand that some of the best ECC vets require flexible working so we will consider both full-time and part-time applicants. With 2 in 5 weekends, no requirement to cover weekend or Bank Holiday day shifts, and an average of 35h per week, all night vets enjoy an excellent work-life balance. The role will involve seeing first-opinion emergencies and providing continuous care for inpatients and referral cases. The team are looking for a vet who is enthusiastic about emergency and critical care and ideally has some experience in this field (although not necessarily in a sole-charge or out-of-hours capacity). You will have a desire to achieve high clinical standards, and work within evidence-based medicine where possible. Due to the sometimes stressful and fast-paced nature of emergency work, you must have excellent communication skills.
