Experienced Consult Vet Vacancy, West Sussex

Our multi vet client in West Sussex would like an experienced vet looking for a consult only role to join their team.

The extensive team consists of over 15 vets with a host of different interests and specialisms. Referrals are taken in the following areas:
  • Imaging
  • Internal Medicine
  • Orthopaedics
  • Dermatology
  • Dentistry
  • Soft Tissue Surgery
  • Ophthalmology
  • Cardiology
There are no OOH's required fir this role and a standard week is 4 days with 1:4 Saturdays.

Our client require a vet with 6-12 months experience to join them in a mobile ole. You will work in 3-4 practices on a 4 dy week with a fair share of weekend work. Working alongside more experienced vets in all sites this is a great opportunity to develop you skills. Our client is a truly independent 8 vet, 11 nurse (training practice), small animal general practice with Partnership prospects if desirable. Based near Crawley with regular trains to the capital (only 45 mins away) this in an ideal location if you want to live near London. The practice is very well equipped, forward thinking and allows their staff to have the clinical freedom to provide the very best care and treatment plans tailored to each individual patient & client. There is a friendly, happy working environment with an excellent, supportive team. This is a full-time position with weekends on a rota. The client provides its own out of hours providing all round care to their patients. Out of hours are currently 1 in 6 rota, with one weekday off per week. The ideal candidate must be happy to work an out of hours rota but should be aware that the client is not an emergency clinic and have a nurse on site to care for in patients and to help the vet on duty. The on call is not 'awake' all night and cover can be at home, if local or the practice can provide onsite accommodation. The vet can sleep and take emergency phone calls, only seeing clients if an emergency. The current vets say that their night duties are quiet, they are rarely called out. The client offers five weeks holiday per year, plus Bank holidays (or day in lieu). Good salary commensurate with experience plus share of OOH fees. CPD is encouraged & funded and specialisation welcomed. The client is keen to hear from either UK trained/qualified vets or vets that have at least one year’s full time UK working experience but in an not internship. Our client is a family owned and managed, independent group of 3 local veterinary practices in the Horsham area. The team are looking for a full time small animal vet with 3-4 years experience in practice to join and enhance their team. Currently a 3 vet team ranging from a 2019 graduate up to a 7 year qualified vet with a medical certificate, plus the owner and most experienced member of the team. The successful candidate will be confident and competent in all first opinion duties. The client has two sites, a main and a branch practice nearby. The practice is equipped with digital X-ray, operating facilities, Ultrasound, Capnograph and much more. The practice is located in an attractive town in West Sussex, close to Ashdown Forest with easy access to Brighton and London. The practice is looking for a full time Veterinary Surgeon to join their fantastic team on a full-time basis. The client is would also welcome applications from part time candidates. The role will consist of 4 days a week, plus a share of the weekend rota and inpatient duties, with no out of hours. The role will include an equal share of both consultations and surgery and any particular interests are actively encouraged and supported. The team of vets aim to practice to the very highest standard of medicine and surgery. The team undertake a wide variety of clinical procedures to both help us make a diagnosis, and then treat any problems they find.
