Equine Vet for Ambulatory Role in Somerset

Our mixed animal client in Somerset are looking for an equine vet to take on an ambulatory equine role with purpose-built facilities to work-up cases.
In this role you will see a cross section of horses and use range of veterinary skills - reproduction, lameness as well as the usual routine work.

All of the teams equine vets draw on their broad depth of experience to provide solutions, treatment options and readily advise on the most appropriate management of each individual case. The equine vets are always keen to take on challenges, explore new methods, techniques and treatments for the benefit of clients horses.
They believe communication is essential in the vet/horse owner relationship.

The practice has a strong foundation and presence in the community, having been established for over 100 years. They are a progressive equine practice that believes listening and being approachable are the key elements to our success.

The ideal candidate will have the understanding of horse ownership at all levels - the emotional, financial and time commitment across interest levels and competition and therefore the advice and treatment you offer will be a product of veterinary knowledge and personal experience.

This is a full-time position working 4.5 days per week 8.30am - 6.30pm. OOH rota is 1:6 weeknights and weekends.
