Our client near the vibrant town of Brighton on the South Coast are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their warm and friendly team.

This role is full time based on 40 hours per week with 1 in 4 full weekends but no OOHs. The role is also open to part-time applications but you must be willing to take a share of the weekend rota.

The great location of this practice means the team benefit from a good variety of cases and a wonderful, loyal client base. You will be joining a clinical team of 7 Vets and 8 qualified nurses, several of whom have nursing diplomas in including in anaesthesia and feline medicine. Several qualified nurses have administration roles within the practice including ensuring all insurance claims are submitted and managed appropriately.

The nurses are well-trained and extremely efficient, and their skills are fully utilised in the practice.The Practice Owner is proud that the strength and experience of the nursing team is the key factor in allowing the vets to do the job that they do. The most common compliment of the practice made by visiting locums and specialist surgeons is the quality of the nursing team. The team also two fantastic trainee nurses supported by a clinical coach and an animal nursing assistant with an animal management diploma.

The nurses prepare everything in advance, catheterise patients, induce and intubate patients under instruction and collect blood samples. The nurses run their own consultations which include weight clinics, behavioural clinics and laser treatment.

Our client on the glorious West Sussex coast area have an opportunity for an experienced, first opinion vet to join them in a Lead Vet Capacity. The practice has recently undergone lots of improvements and modernisation in both equipment and environment. The successful candidate will lead the nursing team plus one other vet, who are client are currently recruiting for. With a small team like this the role may suit a vet with experience of some mentoring but has perhaps not held the "Lead/Head Vet" title. The role involves of course the delivery of clinical excellence, but also some aspects of practice and business management that may be a new skill. This will be supported by the regional team and they will also absorb much of the traditional administrative burden. Candidates need to be confident all rounders in terms of soft tissue surgery and medical cases. Ideally they will be looking to start a certificate or be part way through. Our client is happy to fund certificates and buy out training agreements. Candidates will also be team and client focused and have an interest in mentoring other vets and nurses. This well established independent client based South of Crawley are looking for a new Veterinary surgeon to join their team. The practice is very well equipped, forward thinking and allows their staff to have the clinical freedom to provide the very best care and treatment plans tailored to each individual patient & client. There is a friendly, happy working environment with an excellent, supportive team. This is a full-time position with weekends on a rota. The client provides its own out of hours providing all round care to their patients. Out of hours are currently 1 in 6 rota, with one weekday off per week. The ideal candidate must be happy to work an out of hours rota but should be aware that the client is not an emergency clinic and have a nurse on site to care for in patients and to help the vet on duty. The on call vet is not 'awake' all night and can be at home, if local or the practice can provide onsite accommodation. The vet can sleep and take emergency phone calls, only seeing clients if an emergency. The current vets say that their night duties are quiet, they are rarely called out. The team may also have the capacity for a part-time vet should you be interested in submitting an application. The client offers a competitive salary, dependent on experience, with five weeks holiday per year, plus Bank holidays (or day in lieu). CPD is encouraged & funded and specialisms are welcomed. Our client in West Sussex are looking for a full time Veterinary Surgeon to join their fantastic team on a full time basis. This is a well-equipped practice with spacious consulting rooms and plenty of kennel space. The team have ultrasound, digital x-ray, endoscopes and a K-laser. Plus a full in house laboratory and a dedicated dental room with dental x-ray. The team is made up of five experienced vets including a surgery certificate holder and a team of nine nurses. There are six receptionists and two Practice Managers. The practice hold fundraising events for local animal charities and the nearby national Cats Protect centre. Day to day duties will include a mixture of consultations, working up medical cases and some routine surgery. Candidates will be responsible for a wide range of cases with support from experienced colleagues. The working week is made up of four days with a full day off every week. Shifts are from 9am to last appointment 6pm three days per week and to the last appointment 7pm one day a week. The team work alternate Saturday mornings until 12pm. There are a 1:5 Sundays to work a couple of hours if the duty nurse needs help with non-critical in-patients, but no other OOH's are required. Based near the town of East Grinstead with many sport and leisure facilities near by plus a cinema and easy train links to London. The beautiful Ashdown Forest is on the doorstep and Brighton and the South Downs National Park are also within easy reach. Gatwick airport is only 20 minutes away for those well-earned breaks! Our client has a vacancy for a small animal vet with an interest in surgery to join them. The ideal candidate will be a certificate holder, working towards a certificate or will have gained lots of complex surgical experience. Our client is a long established 3 site group near Worthing, who are looking for Full-Time Small Animal Vet to join their team. The practice is located on the south coast with beaches and easy access to the South Downs National Park. There is a friendly team with, nurses doing clinics and some ops. Our client has a group of 7 practices in the Worthing area and are looking for a Full Time or Part Time Small Animal Vet to join their team. Founded in 1958 the hospital is in partnership with Vetsnow, who look after the OOH;s on site. There are approximately 100 team members, dealing with 1st Opinions and Referrals. The specialist services include diagnostic imaging with on-site CT, orthopaedics, cardiology, soft tissue medicine and internal medicine. They are equipped with a fully functional Dental Suite, Endoscopic and Laparoscopic equipment. There is an on-site laboratory; spacious staff training room and well equipped and comfortable staff break room for that much-needed cup of tea. The practice is located in between the beautiful seafront and the stunning South Downs. There are several train stations with links to Gatwick and London, which are less than half an hour away. The team make animal welfare the first consideration when providing the most appropriate attention to the animals in their care. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of animal physiology, nutrition and medicine with practical skills to diagnose illness, prescribe medicines, and perform imaging tests, laboratory tests and surgery. They like to keep every day as varied as possible with the appropriate mix of duties. You will provide an effective consultation process for all patients, ensuring they start promptly and avoid running over whenever possible. Record all patient information, treatment, diagnostic reports and charges into the computer system. Monitor hospitalised patients and communicate information to the nursing team. Inform clients of test results and update them on progress after treatment. Communicate to all clients on progress, results, diagnosis, prognosis, treatment options and costs involved. Carry out house visits when required. Ensure you comply with your legal obligations in relation to prescription, safekeeping, and supply of veterinary medicinal products. Continually support, train and educate Veterinary Nurses and support the reception team with client queries when required. There is a flexible shift pattern between 8:30 am -18:30 pm over 3/4 days per week (part-time) for between 20 and 30 hours There are some Saturdays but no bank holidays, Sundays, or OOH. You will be RCVS registered, have experience of small animal and or mixed practice work, and have the ability to demonstrate a good understanding of the importance of preventative health plans.
