The team of Vets all have different strengths and specialities with a few certificate holders and form a great team that offers a fantastic first opinion service to the teams growing clientele. Both practices are well equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, and laboratory at each site plus extra toys such as endoscope, tonometer, doppler blood pressure, and a range of orthopaedic instruments at the larger site near Hull.
The team see a wide and varied caseload at both sites and treat animals of all shapes and sizes making each day an interesting and varied one.
Training and mentoring are very important to the team and all career aspirations are actively encouraged and supported. The are also a Veterinary Nurse training practice and have a VetGDP adviser and love to support new colleagues at the start of their careers.

This is a full-time position of up to 40 hours per week plus 1:8 weekends, although the team are more than happy to discuss part-time hours and flexible working as they understand the importance of a good work / life balance.
There is no OOH for their small animal work either as this is covered by Vets Now. The teams main goal is to provide an enjoyable working environment with the perfect work / life balance that everyone deserves whilst providing an outstanding service to all patients and their owners. The happiness and wellbeing of the team is the key factor to a successful practice, and this team are always working on ways to continue to improve this.

Salary is dependent upon experience plus you will receive
5 weeks paid holiday plus Bank Holidays with the option to buy and sell holidays.
5 days CPD leave guaranteed but not limited
1750 CPD allowance per annum although this is not limited as certificates are encouraged and supported
RCVS membership and 2 other professional membership fees of your choice paid
VDS cover

Our client has a group of small animal practice in Hull. After investing heavily in staff training and their facilities to ensure they are offering the highest standards of care, they are now looking for additional Small Animal GP Vet to join their team. The group have five well-equipped branch surgeries which are supported by a fantastic Tier 3 Hospital, with complete diagnostic suite including CT and MRI. The hospital has been recently extended to create additional theatre space, enabling advanced techniques to be offered, such as key hole surgeries and fracture repairs. The group have a fantastic and hardworking team of 19 committed veterinary surgeons, 22 dedicated RVN's and a friendly, enthusiastic, support team. The group aim to offer consistency and high standards of client care to ensure that they can offer a high-quality service. Staff welfare and job satisfaction is prioritized. The group have a broad and varied caseload allowing good exposure and experience. As the group grows there is the opportunity to grow with it and the group are specifically keen to hear from veterinary surgeons with an interest in dermatology, ophthalmology and dentistry. Experience in small animal work is essential. Great client communication skills and a commitment to continuous development are necessary requirements. Due to the size of the team, applications are welcomed from full and part time candidates. Full time hours would be working 4 days per week, no out of hours and Saturdays on a rota. The team are now looking for a Full Time Vet with an interest in Dermatology to join the team. Our client has 4 sites on the East coast. They are now looking for a Full or Part time Small Animal Vet with an interest in Imaging. The main site and is a busy practice with 2 consulting rooms & one nurse consulting room. The clinic with the vacancy is well established and runs out of a stunning grade II listed, character building. There is superb equipment across the three sites including ultrasound, digital and dental x-ray, dental machine. The in house Lab machines are idexx catalyst and procyte. The caseload includes caring for Small animals, Small furries and wildlife including even the odd seal! The practice is very proud to be working with local charities and rescues. Over the three sites the team consists of 6 knowledgeable Vets, 7 experienced RVNs, 2 dedicated Nursing assistants as well as a fantastic, friendly client care team. There is an array of experience levels within the team as well as some long serving team members who have been with them for 10, 15 and even 20 years, including more than a few who have left for various reasons and then returned at a later date. They understand joining a new team can sometimes be a little daunting but you will be made to feel very welcome. They pride themselves on having a friendly welcoming team in and out of work. The team often socialize outside of work and take part in team bonding. The team in their spare time can often be found attending local quizzes, running charity marathons or even trying to crack escape rooms! The days are split between consulting, surgeries and ECC. They do also have an ambulance service for conducting home visits. Preventative health care and high standards of care at all times are two things that they strongly believe in and they actively encourage professional development. The ideal would be full time, working 4 days per week, OOH’s including one night every two weeks and one weekend in 3 months, 1 in 3 Saturdays mornings and salary up to 55k DOE plus benefits. The client is also open to part time applications but with our to suit the candidates needs. You will have previous experience with an interest in Imaging, excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. You will demonstrate an interest in sharing your knowledge and support others within the team too. Our client operates a 24 hour hospital in Rural East Yorkshire, easily commutable to Goole, Hull Beverley North Ferriby, Driffield etc are looking for an additional veterinary surgeon to join them as an ECC vet working a 7 on and 14 off rota. The successful candidate will always work with an experienced RVN. The larger vet team consists of 8 experienced vets who cover the branches in the area. The practice is fantastically equipped with Endoscopy, CT, Digital X-ray, plus a host of surgical kit. Practice interests/specialties include, orthopaedics, exotices, cardiology and opthalmology. Working as the sole vet in charge during the evenings it is important that all candidates have good experience in emergency work, ideally at nights. Candidates who are wanting to start a certificate, or complete certificate will be supported and funded. For candidates tied into learning agreements for recently passed certificated, our client will consider buying those out too.
