Veterinary Surgeon Vacancy, 12-24 Months Experience, Dorset

Our client have a vacancy for a small animal vet, comfortable with some routine soft tissue work as well as medical cases to join them. Working alongside the rest of the team, this is a great opportunity to develop further, perhaps towards a fully funded and supported certificate. There will be occasional periods of sole charge so candidates have to be confident in their clinical judgments, but also not afraid to ask for support when required.

This practwork an average week of 45 hours over 4 days with 1 in 4 weekends. Candidates wishing to work part time will also be considered.

This practice is well equipped with including digital x-ray, ultrasound, tonometer, laparoscopy, blood pressure machine, full lab including microscope, haematology and biochemistry analyser, orthopaedic kit and more. An interest in Laparoscopy would be of benefit but not essential.

OOH's are shared amongst the team.

Our client have a vacancy for a vet with enough experience to handle some small animal surgeries and medical cases unassisted. The likelihood is candidates will have 12 or more months experience. The successful candidate will work along the partner in the practice who has nearly 20 years experience in the practice. As the practice has been serving the local community for so long, they have an excellent local reputation and have a very loyal client base. They are well equipped to proved an excellent, first opinion service. This could be a park time role or a full time role. For part time work, shifts could finish at 3 pm over 3 to 5 days so could suit careers of young children, or people with additional evening commitments. Full time work would be based on a 4 day week. As share of Saturadays would be required for both full and part time applicants.
This role would suit a veterinary surgeon who is looking for a role where they will be a key part of not only the practice but also the community. This is the only local practice so is the go to place for most cases locally. it is a well equipped first opinion practice with good access to a local referral hospital if required. In house they have radiography, ultrasound, full lab etc. As the second vet you will play a pivotal role in the practice being involved in surgeries daily, working up your own caseloads. There will be occasions of sole charge, so vets need to be confident in their own clinical judgments. That said, telephone support will always be available if less experienced vets are working sole charge. This practice operate a 4 day week with 1/6 weekends. Package includes and exceptional salary, dependent upon experience 40,000 upwards for vets with 12 months experience, CPD upto certificate level, professional fees paid.

Our independent client close to Bournemouth have a vacancy for an experienced vet to join them. They have an exceptional local reputation for delivering very high standards of first opinion care. They have a visiting Orthopaedic surgeon works on-site. The rota is a 2 day week, ideally Tuesdays and Fridays, full days and 1 in 3 Saturdays in the short term, moving to 1:4 in the near future. There are no OOH’s or bank holidays required. Surgery and consults are split equally between the vets and individual interests will be encouraged and catered for. Our client on the Weymouth coast are looking for a full time veterinary surgeon to work in their branch practice. The role involves considerable sole charge so candidates are expected to have around 2 years experience and be happy with routine medical and surgical cases. They work closely with the main practice a short distance away. The partner in that practice is a surgical certificate holder. There is therefor lots of scope for telephone support with cases or referral if required. Our client on the south coast near Bournemouth are looking for an experienced veterinary surgeon to join their 8 vet team. This is a forward thinking, innovative, friendly small animal practice looking to strengthen their veterinary team as they continue to grow. The team have a good range of equipment and several certificate holders in various disciplines including medicine and orthopaedics. The see a really varied caseload and would support clinical development in whatever direction you desire with funding and training as needed; equally if you are a really good all-rounder and want to excel as a general practitioner at the heart of a great team then the team would like to speak to you too. Maternity Cover Role. Whilst this role is maternity cover, there is potential skope for an extended contract of for the role to become permanent due to constant practice growth. Candidates should be happy with routine surgical and medical cases so will probably have 12 months or more experience in a small animal practice. Ideally this role will be part time, 2-3 days per week, however, our client would be open to discuss other potential patterns. There will we a requirement for a share of Saturdays. The practice is a well equipped spacious first opinion practice with one other vet and a small team of nurses.
