Veterinary Physiotherapist - Near Lake Windermere, Cumbria

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary physiotherapist to join them in the Animal Rehabilitation Centre (ARC)offering primary care and referral orthopaedic services to South Lakes and beyond.

The team work in a state of art facility equipped to a high standard with laser, ultrasound, TENS, and EMS machines alongside a Tudor underwater treadmill and Companion Stance Analyzer. Therapies on offer also include therapeutic massage, acupuncture, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and they are now offering their patients regenerative medicine (platelet rich plasma and stem cell therapy) by intra-articular injection. All cases then feed into the ARC for a complete rehab programme.

You will work alongside a Veterinary Surgeon qualified in canine rehabilitation therapy, acupuncture, chronic pain management, and clinical canine massage therapy. Our other valued team member is an experienced level 4 hydrotherapy and laser therapist, and you will have the support of an 8 Vet practice.

The ARC offers physiotherapy services to all in-house patients as well as an expanding referral service from local practices. Orthopaedic surgery is also performed at the main surgery and a visiting orthopaedic Surgeon allows more complex surgeries to be done in house too.

The ideal candidate will have the enthusiasm, energy, and positive attitude to help the team grow and for the ARC to fulfill its potential. You will need good communication skills both with other team members and clients, be organised within the workplace, keen to participate in the marketing and promotion of the practice services and bring your own personality to the mix.

Membership of NARCH or CHA is advantageous but not essential.

Our client is seeking a full-time RVN to join their excellent, supportive team who all genuinely get along well together. The role is 39 hours per week in four days, helping towards a great work: life balance in the beautiful South Lakes. The practice do their own on call combined with another local clinic which currently means a 1 in 6 equal nurse share, with potential for a decrease in duties in the future. They are able to welcome either a recently qualified or a more experienced RVN into the team of six vets, six RVNS, five receptionists and more. The team of dedicated receptionists help to ensure minimal reception duties for RVNs, allowing you to spend more time with the lovely patients and clients. The role includes theatre, inpatient and clinic nursing with a mix of duties across the week. There is a long-established main practice with a purpose-built branch surgery just a mile away. The team rotate between the two with daily vet huddles and integrated IT and phone systems to ensure that they work closely together. Staff dogs are allowed to come into work and are seen as part of the team. The clinic offers one to one support, BVNA Congress attendance, practical skills training and lots more. Our clients practice is based in Cumbria one of the most beautiful parts of the UK. They are now looking for a Full Time Small Animal Vet to join them. The practice is comprehensively equipped with digital radiography, scans, scopes bp monitoring & full idexx laboratory. Established in 1966, the clinic is ideally located for lovers of the outdoors, between the coast (3miles) and the West Lakeland Fells (4miles). The clinic is also close to the small town of Whitehaven with its beautiful port, plenty of shops and a lot of outdoor activities. There are 7 FTE Vets, 6 FTE RVNs with a team of SVN's and ACA. A wonderful support team, including 2 PM's, a fabulous housekeeper and Reception team. A new Clinical Director has joined the young vibrant team and is wanting to progress and take the practice forward. This is an excellent chance for a blank canvas for someone wanting to put down roots in a nice part of the country. They are a friendly and approachable team with plenty of time to welcome new staff members. This is a full-time permanent role, working 40 hours a week, over 4-5 days. There is a requirement to work 1 in every 4 weekends with bank holidays being shared between the veterinary team. The role will entail consultations, operations, monitoring hospitalised patients and more. Salary range is up to 60,000 DOE. Our client are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Veterinary Surgeon to join their fantastic team in Cumbria on a permanent part-time basis. The friendly team of 12 staff are based in a purpose-built practice with dental x-ray, digital x-ray facilities and a dedicated laboratory. They use ultra-sound scanner regularly in practice and also have their own hydrotherapy unit within the practice. The rota will be 2-3 days per week consisting of consultataions and first opinion operations with =in the practice and being on call 1 Tuesday every 2 weeks and 1 weekend in 12.
