Assistant Veterinary Surgeon

Steph Ward
Our client are looking for an assistant veterinary surgeon to join their team, this role includes no out of hours with part time and full time applicants considered. This position would suit an experienced vet although support will be available for the less experienced.

Their patient base is 100% small animal with, unusually, a higher proportion of dogs than cats. They are blessed with loyal, discerning clients who value good communication and the care their pets receive.
The team are able to work up medical and surgical cases to a high standard, referring to excellent local specialists when appropriate.

You will enjoy 15-minute appointments, when consulting, in a relaxed working environment. Surgical time is equally shared, and veterinary support will be on hand for an inexperienced surgeon. You will be ably assisted by an experienced team of dedicated nurses and support staff. The working day is split into very manageable sessions, including a long lunch break. They aim to avoid work overload and to try always to achieve an enjoyable working day. Clinical freedom and case follow-up actively encouraged.

The team enjoy a fabulous location in the heart of West Sussex and near to The Downs and south coast beaches but with great links to London and its airports, and south coast sea ports. They open for only two hours on a Saturday morning; these slots being equally shared between vets.
