7 vet team, Cambridge. NO OOH's require SA vet

My Client is a 2 branch practice based in the historical city of Cambridge. Their caseload is continually growing and they now have an opportunity for a veterinary surgeon to join them based at one of their sites. They see a good mix of surgical and medical caseload and perform laparoscopic spays as standard. The team consists of 7 vets and a great supportive nurse and reception team. They have a number of interests including ECC critical care and surgery, with certificate holders in surgery endoscopy and endo-surgery and someone studying for a medical cert.

Ideally they are looking for someone who would like to move into a more senior role within a team and can help with leadership and mentoring, orthopedic interest would be beneficial but not essential.

The working week is 42 hours with 1:3 weekends and overtime at double pay!

Our client is an independent practice near Cambridge who provides an excellent work life balance for their staff. The position is open to full and part time applications, as the team are looking for the right person. The full-time role would be to work 4 days per week and weekends on a 1:4 rota. Weekends are Saturdays only working 8.30am -4pm and there are no out of hours with this position. Part time hours are negotiable for the right candidate and the practice are open to hear from experienced candidates who would like part time hours. The practice ethos is that the team comes first and although the practice can run on less staff members, the owner likes to have an additional vet to allow team meetings, training and development and giving a second to none working environment. Our client in the Peterborough area have a vacancy to work within their three practice, All practices a different in size so some of the work is sole charge, and some is working with larger practices with certificate holders. Candidates will ideally be comfortable with very routine sift tissue surgeries and medical cases and will be looking to develop their skills in a supportive fashion, at pace. As far as experience goes, we expect a minimum of 12 months. Working across three sites, candidates will have access to excellent facilities and telephone support if needed when working in sole charge. Ops and consultations will be booked in as per candidates skills so they will not be expected to do procedures they are not happy with. This is a fantastic, entry level into this group and it is unlikely that the role will become fixed site with 6-12 months. A company vehicle will be provided if required.
Our client on the Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire Borders would like a veterinary surgeon with an interest in surgery to join their team. This could be a vet with a minimum of two years experience who wants to start a certificate. It could also be a vet part way through or who has completed the certificate. This is a two vet, well equipped practice and will involve some sole charge work. The rota is based around a 4 day week with 1/3 Saturdays or 1/6 full weekends, whichever is preferred. Practice equipment includes, digital X-Ray, Ultrasound, dental suite, full lab and ECG. For vets without a surgical interests, CPD will be supported to certificate levels in other small animal disciplines.

The rota is based around a 4 day week with 1:3 Saturdays working in he main site plus two smaller branches as required. There well be come elements of sole charge in the branches, however this is very well supported and cases booked will be based on skill and experience level. The practice is easily commutable from: Huntingdon, Cambridge, Peterborough, St Ives, Ely, St Neots, Thrapston.

Our client based in beautiful North Cambridgeshire are looking for an experienced vet to join their busy expanding team of 3 Vets and 4 Nurses. This is a permanent, full time role at a busy first opinion practice and the successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be ready to take to next step in their career within a supportive environment. The team promote individual development, CPD and certificates in personal areas of interest. Vets are given the freedom to work up a varied case load to completion and all the usual toys including digital X-ray, ultrasound, air powered dental machine and in-house biochemistry and haematology. This is a full time position working over the 5 days, Monday - Friday, 40hrs per week, with 1:5 Saturday mornings. There would be one early finish per week at 1pm, and another earlier finish at 3.30pm, with the other 3 days finishing at 6pm or later should any consults be running late. Saturdays are 9am to 12noon. There are no OOH with this role and the only sole charge working would be the 3 hours on your share of the Saturday mornings. Annual leave is 25 days with all bank holidays too. Salary dependent upon experience.
