Seeking a position where a meaningful impact can be made, My client in Lancashire is looking to welcome a confident and forward-thinking Veterinary Surgeon to its expanding team of four vets. This opportunity is well suited to a professional with at least two years of UK small animal experience who thrives in a busy clinical environment, enjoys a balance of consulting and surgical work, and is eager to contribute to a progressive and dynamic practice.
The clinic has recently undergone an impressive refurbishment, resulting in a modern, well-designed space that mirrors the ambition of the team. The practice benefits from supportive, hands-on management that promotes clinical freedom, collaboration, and the sharing of new ideas. The team continues to grow and evolve, building a forward-looking and engaging workplace.
The successful candidate would join a friendly and enthusiastic team, working alongside a surgery certificate holder with extensive experience. They would also be supported by a highly skilled nursing and client care team who ensure the smooth running of daily operations while maintaining a positive and enjoyable atmosphere. Close collaboration with a nearby 24-hour hospital and surrounding branches allows for excellent clinical support and straightforward internal referrals for more complex cases.
The practice is well equipped with advanced facilities, including laparoscopy, endoscopy, TTA equipment, patella luxation tools, high-quality ultrasound, digital and dental X-ray, as well as capnography and ventilators. This setup provides an ideal environment for those who enjoy hands-on surgical work and managing cases from initial consultation through to completion.
Located in a lively suburban area with strong transport links to Manchester, Liverpool, the Lake District, and surrounding countryside, this location offers an excellent balance between professional and personal life. The role includes a four-day working week, no out-of-hours commitments, and a fair weekend rota (1 in 3 Saturdays or 1 in 6 full weekends), with flexibility available to support work-life balance.
This role presents an excellent opportunity to join a supportive, ambitious team where professional development is encouraged, contributions are valued, and coming to work is genuinely enjoyable.
