This independent veterinary practice based in Norwich is seeking a caring and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to join its friendly and supportive team. The successful candidate will be an experienced clinician with excellent communication skills, strong clinical judgement and a genuine passion for delivering high standards of patient and client care.
The role will involve providing first-opinion consultations, performing routine and non-routine surgical procedures, developing diagnostic and treatment plans, and overseeing the ongoing care of medical and surgical cases. The successful candidate will work closely with the nursing team to ensure the highest standards of clinical care while building strong, long-lasting relationships with clients. They should be confident working both independently and as part of a collaborative team, with the ability to contribute to the day-to-day running of the practice.
Applicants must be RCVS registered and confident managing a varied small animal caseload.
This is a full-time opportunity offering a competitive salary, dependent on experience, with the opportunity to increase earnings through optional overtime. The successful candidate will work alongside two experienced Veterinary Surgeons in a modern, well-equipped practice featuring digital and dental radiography, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, physiotherapy equipment and a range of advanced diagnostic facilities.
The preferred working pattern is 37–40 hours per week, with shifts typically running from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. The role also includes participation in a one-in-four or one-in-five Saturday morning rota.
