An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join the team in Bolton as a leadership vet. This role is ideal for a clinician who is maybe looking for a step into a senior role, enjoys mentoring others, leading by example and helping to shape the next generation of veterinary professionals, while continuing to deliver exceptional patient care.
Working closely with the Head Vet, Practice Manager and others, the successful candidate will play an important role in developing recently qualified Veterinary Surgeon. As the practice's VetGDP Advisor, you will oversee the progression of graduate and early-career Veterinary Surgeons, ensuring they receive the guidance, support and clinical exposure needed to build confidence and succeed in their careers. They will help identify learning opportunities within the team, contribute to the delivery of training programmes and foster an environment where continuous learning and professional development are encouraged. The role also includes line management responsibilities for foundation-level Veterinary Surgeons, providing regular coaching, performance feedback and career development support
As a member of the leadership team, you will attend practice leadership meetings, deputise for the Head Vet where appropriate and contribute to the ongoing development and strategic direction of the practice.
The ideal candidate will be MRCVS (or FRCVS) registered and VetGDP accredited, with strong clinical experience and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting and developing others
