Veterinary surgeon vacancy, Chesterfield, Derbyshire

An opportunity is available for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a couple of years of experience to join a practice in Chesterfield. The successful candidate would become part of a welcoming and well-established team that includes four veterinarians, six nurses, five client care advisors, and a practice manager. The working environment is designed to balance clinical excellence with staff wellbeing, with structured appointment times that allow for thorough care. Routine consultations are typically scheduled for 15 minutes, with longer appointments allocated when needed, and the working day is arranged so that consultations finish ahead of closing time. The position is based on a 40-hour week and includes participation in a one-in-four weekend rota.
The practice itself is modern, bright, and well-equipped, featuring facilities such as digital x-ray, ultrasound, blood pressure monitoring, and an in-house laboratory, enabling a high standard of diagnostic and clinical work.

Confidence in both medical and surgical aspects of veterinary work is important, as is the ability to contribute positively within a team-focused environment.
