This great client are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team based on the West Coast of Lancashire. With more than 30 years of providing exceptional veterinary care to pets and their owners, the practice has built a strong reputation for clinical excellence, compassionate service, and a commitment to developing the future of the profession.
The successful candidate will become part of a highly experienced veterinary team that includes certificate holders in both ophthalmology and surgery. Supported by a skilled nursing team within an RCVS-accredited nurse training practice, the role offers an excellent environment for collaboration, professional development, and delivering outstanding patient care.
This is a full-time, permanent position, although part-time applications will also be considered. The role offers an attractive four-day working week, with shifts running from 8:00am to 6:30pm. Weekend commitments are limited to a shared Saturday morning rota, currently operating on either a one-in-four or two-in-five basis, from 8:30am until 12 noon. Importantly, there are no out-of-hours responsibilities or bank holiday commitments, helping to maintain an excellent work-life balance.
The practice is looking for a confident first-opinion veterinarian who enjoys building strong client relationships and contributing positively to a collaborative team culture. The successful applicant will be comfortable working alongside colleagues as well as undertaking sole-charge duties when required. An Official Veterinarian (OV) qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
Based across four branches near the stunning Sefton coastline and North Liverpool, they offer the perfect balance between coastal living and city access. The surrounding area provides beautiful beaches, countryside walks, and excellent transport connections to Liverpool, Manchester, Preston, and beyond. Whether enjoying outdoor pursuits or exploring vibrant city life, the location offers something for everyone.

A competitive salary of £45,000 to £60,000 is available, depending on experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package. This includes 6.6 weeks of paid holiday including bank holidays, a £1,750 annual CPD allowance with five days of paid CPD leave, paid RCVS and BSAVA memberships, two additional professional subscriptions and VDS cover
