An excellent opportunity is available for a Veterinary Surgeon seeking to join a high-performing and supportive team led by an experienced Partner with a strong commitment to clinical excellence and professional development.
Based within a recently refurbished veterinary practice conveniently located just two minutes from the M5, the role offers exposure to a varied and engaging caseload supported by high-quality facilities and advanced diagnostic tools. The successful candidate will have access to a wide range of equipment designed to support gold-standard patient care, including a brand-new laparoscopic spay suite, a state-of-the-art four-probe ultrasound system, and dedicated cat and dog wards within the modernised practice environment. Additional support is available through visiting peripatetic specialists, providing valuable opportunities for collaborative case management and clinical learning.
The practice is led by a highly motivated Partner who is currently working toward a third clinical certificate and places significant emphasis on fostering growth within the team. Clinical support comes from four Registered Veterinary Nurses, including one with an anaesthetics certificate and another currently pursuing a medicine qualification. A dedicated three-person administrative team also helps ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice, allowing clinicians to focus on delivering excellent patient care.
Flexibility is a key feature of the role, with working hours designed to fit around lifestyle needs and no night work required. Ongoing professional development is strongly encouraged, with active funding and support available for certificates, CPD, and career progression.
The practice offers a comprehensive benefits package that recognises the importance of both professional fulfilment and personal wellbeing. This includes private medical insurance and a health cash plan, 24/7 wellbeing and counselling support, life assurance, and generous annual leave starting at five weeks plus bank holidays, increasing with service.
Career development is well supported through a £1,500 CPD allowance, paid CPD leave, access to clinical communities and 24-hour hospital networks, as well as funded certificates and structured internal career pathways. Further benefits include paid professional fees (RCVS, VDS and BVA), relocation assistance, visa sponsorship opportunities, sabbaticals linked to service, and lifestyle perks such as Cycle to Work schemes, season ticket loans, and discounts on products and services.
This role would suit a Veterinary Surgeon looking to thrive in a collaborative and clinically ambitious environment, with the flexibility, support, and resources needed to build a rewarding long-term career.
