This established practice in Richmond upon Thames is seeking a passionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join its established and supportive nursing team at its 24-hour hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for an RVN with a particular interest in surgical nursing who is looking to enhance their skills within a busy, well-equipped hospital environment.
As a referral-level first opinion hospital, the practice offers an exciting and varied caseload, providing exposure to a wide range of surgical procedures, advanced diagnostics, and complex medical cases. You will benefit from working alongside an experienced and collaborative clinical team, with access to excellent facilities and equipment that support continued learning and professional development.
The role will have a strong focus on surgical nursing and diagnostic imaging, making it ideal for a nurse who enjoys working in theatre, anaesthesia, perioperative care, and assisting with advanced diagnostic procedures. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting veterinary surgeons and fellow nurses while ensuring patients receive exceptional care throughout every stage of their treatment journey.
Although the main focus of the position is surgical nursing, flexibility is essential within a hospital environment, and there may be opportunities to provide support within the wards when required. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated team player who is committed to maintaining consistently high standards of patient welfare and clinical care.
The successful applicant will join a knowledgeable and experienced nursing team, benefiting from ongoing support, mentorship, and opportunities to develop their professional interests. The practice is looking for someone who is passionate about clinical excellence, advocates for outstanding patient care, and is keen to contribute to the continued success and development of the nursing team.
Benefits include: health cash plan, counselling and wellbeing support, and life assurance, five weeks’ annual leave plus bank holidays, £750 CPD allowance, two days of paid CPD leave, funded certificates, payment of RCVS and VDS fees, supporting professional membership and continued development within the veterinary profession.
