I have a wonderful client based in the Stockport area of Manchester who are seeking an experienced and passionate surgically biased Veterinary Surgeon to join the dedicated team, delivering exceptional clinical care within a supportive and collaborative environment.
This position offers a strong surgical focus, with three out of every four working days dedicated to surgery. The successful candidate will be confident managing complex soft tissue surgical procedures independently and will play an important role in mentoring fellow veterinary surgeons, helping to develop surgical skills and confidence across the wider clinical team.
The clinic is equipped with five consulting rooms, two advanced operating theatres, and a dedicated dental suite, enabling the team to provide a high standard of patient care. Separate dog and cat wards ensure inpatient comfort throughout their stay, while the clinic's varied caseload offers an excellent balance of both medical and surgical cases. An on-site Orthopaedic Surgeon further enhances the clinical expertise available within the practice.
The clinic fosters a supportive, inclusive, and non-hierarchical culture where every team member's contribution is valued. The organisation is committed to clinical excellence and encourages collaboration across all levels of the business.
Rather than focusing solely on profit, the organisation is dedicated to delivering its mission while generating sustainable income to support long-term growth. Its vision is simple yet powerful: no pet should go untreated or face euthanasia when a viable treatment option exists. Through free consultations and transparent pricing, they helps make veterinary care more accessible, breaking down financial barriers and ensuring more pets receive the treatment they need.
The role is based on a 38-hour working week across four days, with a shared Saturday rota of 2 in 9 weekends.
In return, the successful candidate will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including six weeks' annual leave inclusive of bank holidays, visa sponsorship where required, and support for continuing professional development and certificate study. Additional benefits include private healthcare, enhanced maternity and paternity pay, a contributory pension scheme, paid RCVS and VDS memberships, and access to an Employee Assistance Programme. Team members also benefit from counselling services covering mental health, financial wellbeing and life support.
