This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to play a key role in delivering outstanding patient and client care at my clients practice in Streatham. In this position, you will be accountable for the clinical care provided within the practice, ensuring that every patient, client, and colleague experiences the highest standards of care, professionalism, and support. You will work in line with regulatory, operational, and clinical compliance requirements, contributing to a safe, effective, and welcoming practice environment.
This is a warm and close-knit practice with a strong sense of teamwork and community. This is an exciting time to join the team, as the practice looks ahead to expansion and continued growth. You will be supported by a dedicated Partner, an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse, and two Veterinary Care Assistants, all of whom share a collaborative approach and a genuine commitment to patient welfare.
The practice itself is thoughtfully designed across a single, spacious floor, allowing for efficient workflows and continuity of care. Facilities include two consultation rooms, a dedicated theatre, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, dental x-ray, and separate dog and cat waiting areas and kennels. This well-equipped environment enables you to manage cases from initial consultation through to diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up, providing comprehensive, high-quality veterinary care.
Situated in the residential heart of Streatham, the practice benefits from a friendly and vibrant local atmosphere. Independent shops, delicatessens, and charity stores are close by, with a welcoming coffee shop directly opposite and a family-run Italian restaurant next door. The area also offers green spaces and a true neighborhood feel, making it an appealing location both professionally and personally.
They are seeking a confident Veterinary Surgeon with a minimum of two years’ UK small animal GP experience who is comfortable working in sole charge, This role is full time, working 40 hours per week, with flexible weekend arrangements available. Options include one in three Saturdays or one in six full weekends at the nearby 24-Hour Hospital, which can be discussed to suit individual preferences.
Applicants must be RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeons with a passion for delivering high-quality clinical care and a collaborative approach to teamwork. You should be confident in your clinical decision-making, comfortable supporting nurse consults, and skilled in coaching and influencing others to bring out the best in every colleague.
