My Independent client’s Newbury surgery opened just last year and is located in a vibrant market town known for its racecourse and stunning surrounding countryside. This purpose-built clinic is fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including digital radiography, ultrasonography, and an Idexx in-house laboratory. Dedicated surgical suites are available for all the team and visiting referral specialists in ophthalmology, soft tissue, and orthopaedics.
They are looking for experienced, proactive vets (minimum two years) to join the team. While the current rota involves sole charge, you’ll be working alongside one full and one part time vet and a strong network of medical and surgical peripatetic teams. As caseloads grow, so will the team—and so will your role. You’ll also have the full support of the wider group: 20+ surgeons, 70+ team members, and on-site nursing staff.
This company are proud to be a dynamic, independent veterinary group that’s been redefining what it means to work in this profession for over 15 years. Not a profit-driven corporate, and not a small independent vulnerable to outside pressures. With 13 practices (and growing), they offer the best of both worlds: the stability and opportunities of a larger group, combined with the flexibility, warmth, and autonomy of a family-owned business.
They remain fiercely independent—and that’s how they intend to stay. No joint venture schemes, no hidden clauses. They believe in supporting the team through transparent, rewarding packages and reinvesting back into people and practices. That’s why they lead the way in salaries, holiday entitlement (up to six weeks annually), and a commitment to upgrading every clinic every ten years to keep them fresh and inspiring.
In the past 18 months, they’ve opened three new practices, and are not slowing down.
