An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join the welcoming and experienced team, an RCVS-accredited practice located in the historic market town in Cornwall.
Situated just moments from some of Cornwall’s most spectacular coastline, this role offers the chance to combine a rewarding veterinary career with an enviable lifestyle. From coastal walks and outdoor pursuits to vibrant harbours and countryside scenery, this provides the ideal setting for those seeking a better work-life balance or considering a move to the South West.
This practice has built a long-standing reputation for delivering compassionate, high-quality care to the local community. The practice combines traditional values with modern veterinary standards, offering a well-equipped and highly regarded clinical environment that is valued by both clients and colleagues alike.
The successful candidate will join a close-knit and supportive team made up of experienced vets, Registered Veterinary Nurses, and Student Veterinary Nurses, all committed to delivering excellent patient care while fostering a positive and enjoyable working environment. For those interested in greater variety, there is also the opportunity to undertake a combined role between 2 branches offering experience across two thriving practices in beautiful coastal locations.
Professional development is actively encouraged, with strong support for CPD, certificates, and developing individual clinical interests. There may even be unique opportunities to become involved in the care of local wildlife, including seals.
It offers an exceptional quality of life, with easy access to Cornwall’s beaches, coastal paths, countryside, and picturesque harbour towns. Whether the successful candidate enjoys surfing, hiking, paddleboarding, running, or simply spending time outdoors, the area provides endless opportunities to enjoy the natural surroundings. The role offers a competitive salary of up to £70,000 depending on experience and skills, alongside a comprehensive benefits package designed to support wellbeing, career progression, and work-life balance.
