100% Small Animal Private Independent Practice Requires an Enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon

Our client, based near Upminster, Essex, is searching for an additional veterinary surgeon to join their large team. The hospital has both separate dog and cat wards as well as isolation facilities. The theater is equipped with the latest multi-parameter machines and equipment to perform both routine and emergency surgery. The hospital is located close to the M25/A127 with fantastic transport links to London.  The clinical area uses “Smartflow” which is a paperless record system. By adopting this, they are working towards reducing their carbon footprint. The team are passionate about sustainability within the veterinary profession.  As part of the RCVS Practice Standard Scheme (PSS), they have received six awards for outstanding patient and client care.

Full Time hours are to work 4 8 hour days per week and the clinic operates a shift pattern system either 7-3, 9-5, 12-8 or 2-10.  Weekends are 1:4 and an adiditional Saturday every 8 weeks.  The practice does cover its own out of hours but there is a separate night time that covers this.   They would also consider part time applications if preferred. You will be based in this large busy RCVS accredited veterinary hospital is equipped with excellent facilities, including digital radiography, endoscopy and ultrasonography. This is a first and second opinion practice with a varied caseload.

The role would suit an enthusiastic and motivated individual who enjoys working with a large collaborative team. They actively encourage and support CPD and certificates. Their aim is to offer certificate level service to their clients across all disciplines.  CPD is funded and encouraged. RCVS registration fees are paid, along with access to the staff discount scheme. The clinic has a large team including many certificate holders including Small Animal Surgery, ECC, orthopedics, medicine, dermatology, imaging to mention a few.
