This large practice on the Wirral is a well-equipped clinic with seven consulting rooms, two theatres and a dedicated X-ray suite. The practice is also cat friendly, with separate dog and cat wards designed to provide a calmer environment for hospitalised patients. They are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon with at least two years experience to join its supportive and purpose-driven team. This is an opportunity for a Vet who enjoys working with a varied caseload and wants to provide high-quality care while helping make veterinary treatment more accessible to pet owners.
The caseload is predominantly made up of sick and injured patients, providing plenty of clinical variety and opportunities to build on existing experience. From complex orthopaedic presentations through to challenging medical cases, the role offers scope to use a broad range of clinical skills while continuing to develop professionally.
The facilities allow the team to manage a diverse range of cases and develop more advanced areas of clinical interest, including cardiac scanning. The combination of a varied caseload and good clinical facilities makes this an excellent setting for a Vet looking to continue expanding their capabilities.
They operate a collaborative and inclusive working environment where every team member is encouraged to contribute. The organisation aims to provide affordable veterinary care while generating enough income to remain sustainable for the long term.
For Veterinary Surgeons, this means joining an organisation where quality patient care and accessibility are central to its approach.
The role offers 38 hours per week across four days, with a 2-in-9 Saturday daytime rota, providing a structured working pattern and good opportunities for work-life balance.
The package includes six weeks' annual holiday, including Bank Holidays, alongside funded CPD and support towards further certificates. RCVS and VDS fees are covered, and visa support is available where required.
