Part-Time Consulting Vet –School-Friendly Hours
If you're looking for a veterinary role that fits around family life while keeping you clinically engaged, this could be the perfect match. This is a part-time consulting position with flexible hours across three to four weekdays, ideal for someone seeking a better work-life balance without stepping away from meaningful patient care. Mondays are essential, but they’re happy to be flexible with the other days to suit your schedule. The role will primarily focus on consultations, though there’s the option to carry out surgical procedures if desired.
You’ll be joining a warm and experienced team of three vets, including a certificate holder in surgery, within a well-equipped and progressive practice. Whether you’re keen to concentrate on consults or maintain your surgical skills, they can support your clinical interests and preferences.
This is an advanced first-opinion site, fully equipped with laparoscopy and backed by a supportive clinical team. They deliver high-quality care in a relaxed, collaborative environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking practice while maintaining the flexibility you need.
They can offer a comprehensive benefits package, including private medical insurance and a health cash plan from day one, covering dental, physio and optical services, along with 24/7 access to a private GP. Life assurance is provided at three times your salary, and you’ll have access to 24-hour counselling support whenever needed. Annual leave starts at five weeks plus bank holidays, rising to six weeks with length of service, and includes an additional paid ‘Day for You’ to use however you wish. Clinical CPD is supported with a £1,500 annual allowance and three days’ paid leave, alongside internal CPD and access to Clinical Communities. We also offer funded certificate opportunities, cover your VDS, RCVS and BVA fees, and provide sabbatical options based on service. Additional perks include an interest-free season ticket loan, a cycle to work scheme, and support for Tier 2 Visa sponsorship and relocation.
If you're a confident, compassionate vet looking to stay clinically active while enjoying flexible hours and a supportive team, we’d love to hear from you
