Are you an experienced vet, looking to progress into the next stage of your career?  Our client based near Leeds, is looking for a passionate and inspiring vet to clinically lead the team.

The client has a group of practices including a Tier 3 Hospital supporting and 5 branch sites and serve as an RVN training centre. The branch is equipped with two operating theatres, a dental engine, four consultation rooms, and separate dog and cat wards. They are continuously improving their services and will soon be adding dental x-ray capabilities. This branch is perfect for a veterinary surgeon looking to develop their career and leadership aspirations. They foster a friendly and sociable atmosphere throughout the practice and organise regular fun days out. You will also have access to ample experienced support. The clinic is conveniently located near the M62, providing easy access to Leeds city centre, the airport, and more. Their goal is to achieve clinical excellence and to support you in delivering high-quality care, there is a team of experienced vets, RVNs, and receptionists. They all prioritise continuity of care and keep many cases in-house, with full support from their nearby hospital.

The practice has a dedicated team of 14 vets, 11 RVNs (including 2 in training), and approximately 50 support staff across all sites. At this branch, you will be working alongside 2-3 vets and 5 support staff. Within the group there are 5 certificate holders, specializing in ophthalmology, surgery, and emergency medicine.

As a senior veterinary surgeon, you will work closely with the practice leadership team to drive the practice forward and take charge of an enthusiastic team. They value work-life balance and offer both full and part-time hours. No out-of-hours work is required, and you will only need to work one Saturday morning (8:30-12:30) every four weeks. 5 day week (40 hours) for a full time role.

You should have a good length of experience in a small animal practice. An ability to lead and inspire other vets and support staff. Desire to grow the client base and expand services provided. Run your team with friendly, approachable, and caring attitude towards pets, owners, and staff with strong leadership skills.
