This modern North London clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is ready to progress into a leadership role as Head Veterinary Surgeon. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated clinician to help shape clinical standards, support colleagues, and make a meaningful contribution within a welcoming practice.
As Head Vet, you will collaborate with hospital colleagues to confidently manage complex cases while continuing to develop their own areas of clinical interest. The role offers the opportunity to combine hands-on veterinary work with leadership responsibilities, supporting both personal growth and the development of the wider team.
The practice is well equipped to deliver high-quality first-opinion care, with facilities including digital radiography, dental equipment, in-house laboratory diagnostics, dedicated consultation and treatment areas, and access to a varied and rewarding caseload.
The practice is also located just 10 minutes away, to a 24-hour veterinary hospital, providing access to advanced diagnostics, specialist expertise, and additional clinical support. Facilities at the hospital include MRI and CT imaging, endoscopy, arthroscopy, advanced ultrasound, multi-parameter monitoring, and specialist services across areas such as neurology, surgery, and internal medicine.
This full-time position involves a 40-hour working week with a shared weekend rota, either one in three Saturdays or one in six full weekends at the 24-hour hospital. All out-of-hours responsibilities are managed by the hospital team, allowing the Head Vet to focus on delivering excellent care during working hours while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
