Our client is a busy, well-established, veterinary practice located in the West of Yorkshire, just a short drive away from the Yorkshire Dales and Bronte Country. They are now looking for an experienced vet to join the team.

The clinic is closely located to good travel networks and links and also pride themselves on having excellent teamwork and inpatient care. They have 3 sites across West Yorkshire all well equipped with Ultrasound, endoscope, x-ray equipment, dental suites. They are a gold standard ISFM certified cat-friendly practice with a silver certificate for rabbits and have been rated outstanding in several practice standards scheme awards. The caseload is very varied and the team has lots of different interests. With some team members undergoing further training by certificates and some having those that have achieved certification status, the clinic offers a fantastic level of support on a wider group level and allows them to grow and develop a higher quality first opinion pet care, whilst providing internal career progression opportunities.

Currently, they have 5 Veterinary Surgeons, 11 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 4 Student Veterinary Nurses, 1 Veterinary Care Assistants, and 14 Receptionists. They hold regular team building events including an annual treasure hunt, weekends away, and opportunities to attend various congresses. They have a Veterinary Surgeon with a certificate in feline medicine and another with a fear Free certificate. They encourage development and can offer certificate support. The experienced nursing team also boast certificates in Emergency and Critical Care, Advanced Feline Nursing, Dentals and Exotics.

Ideally you will be a Vet surgeon who has a passion for coaching and developing those less experienced, someone who enjoys mentoring others whilst watching them grow and flourish into a successful career. The successful applicant would also be working alongside students to assist in the teaching of clinical skills, supervising and evaluating their progress throughout the graduate course whilst also being involved in the day to day veterinary rota within the practice. This role will predominantly be a clinical role with a split of 70% practising vet 30% clinical coach. If you have your Vet GDP, then our client would love to hear from you. There is a well balanced caseload split between medicine and surgery.  They can tailor the caseload towards your own specific clinical interests, and they’re happy to offer financial assistance towards those that are looking to pursue a certificate.

The typical full-time rota being 40 hours per week over four days with a share of the weekend rota. This is currently just 1 in 4 Saturdays with time back in lieu. No out of hours or on call required!

Salary is up to £70k pa DOE, a welcome bonus of £5k and there is an additional relocation allowance of up to £5k if required.
