Our client’s practice is based close to Bournemouth and Southampton and is now looking for a Full Time Small Animal vet to join the team.
The clinic is right next door to the beautiful New Forest with its wild ponies, amazing footpaths and village pubs. From Southampton you can easily get a train to the beautiful city of Winchester and it’s an hour’s train ride from Southampton to Central London. There are some wonderful local schools near us and in Southampton city, so it’s a great place for family life.
The friendly, supportive, experienced team prides themselves on providing the best care for pets and clients alike. There is a team of amazing Veterinary Surgeons and 3 Nurses and 3 Receptionists and have several certificate holders across the group. The practice has been established for over 20 years, with 2 branches. You will have a nice mix of consulting and operating and the clinic works on 20 minute appointments. There will be occasional times of sole charge, so a Veterinary Surgeon with confidence, good communication skills and a team player is a must. They encourage their Vets to have clinical freedom, case independence, and continuity with an interesting and varied caseload. You’ll work in a supportive team environment, and they would happily support and encourage you in developing your own clinical interests and career advancement.
Typically, the full-time position is 40 hours, Monday – Friday, with Saturdays on a 1:5 rota. There is no on-call as our OOH is covered by VetsNow. The salary for this role is up to £75,000 depending on experience.
