Our client’s surgery opened in January 2020 and is a new division of a larger group. The practice provides consultations and routine diagnostics and surgery. There are 2 consultation rooms, X-ray, theatre, and dentistry equipment. The clinic is in a lovely location with easy access to Oxford.
The team consists of 3 Veterinary Surgeons, 3 Registered Veterinary Nurses, an Animal Nursing Assistant and Receptionist. Among the vets are a Specialist in Zoo & Wildlife Medicine, and Advanced Practitioners in Small Animal Medicine and ECC. Plus, there are regular visits to the main hospital from a referral dermatologist. They receive referrals nationally for exotic pets and for radioiodine therapy of hyperthyroid cats and locally for outpatient CT scanning, and for some internal medicine and orthopaedic-surgery cases.
The successful candidate will be an experienced Vet who is confident with sole charge. The role consists of a range of consulting and surgery, duties would also include being part of the successful running of the clinic. You will also be responsible for driving clinical standards and client and patient care. This is a full-time permanent role working 3 days a week Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8.30am-6:00pm at branch. One day (Wednesday) 8.30am -7pm will be at the main hospital. There will be 1 in 2 Saturday shifts from 9:00am-1:00pm with no on call.
