Our client is based near Old Trafford in Manchester are looking for a Full Time Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join them.

The practice is well established and was set up 50 years ago. The practice has a lovely client base and good reputation. With easy access to airports, motorways, the city centre and countryside. It’s well equipped with the usual toys; digital x-rays, video endoscope, ultrasound etc. They pride themselves on giving honest advice to clients and never work in a target driven way. The team have 12 Veterinary Surgeons, 8 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Trainee Nurses, 6 Auxilliary Veterinary Nurses, 4 Receptionists and a Practice Manager. The team have 1 certificate holder, 1 diploma holder in exotics, other Vets are sitting their exotic cert and ECC cert.

The rota will involve working 40 hours per week over 4 days. The days are a mix of shifts 8:00am-3.30pm, 9:00am-4:00pm or 9:00am-7.30pm. The weekend work includes working on a Saturday morning from 8:30am-11:30am and Sunday from 10:00am-11:00am and is worked in a 1 in 6-7 rota. There is a second on-call component is rota’d to give advice and support to the night Vets and occasionally you might need to come and help them.

You must be RCVS registered, be experienced enough to be able to do most routine surgeries/consults without additional support, be hard working, able to multi-task and have a good sense of humour. 

Salary will be up to £65,000 depending on experience and there is a relocation allowance of up to £2k if required.
