Our client is searching for a motivated and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to expand their Veterinary team.  They are looking for a confident and capable all-rounder who strives for high clinical standards in general practice.

The hub of the RCVS Accredited Practice is located near Elgin and is fitted out with a full range of diagnostic and surgical equipment, allowing the team to work to the high standards.  They have a total of 3 branches in the area, which all have a great client base that is 50% insured and motivated to work up cases.  Located in the heart of Morayshire is a hearty mix of towns, rural and seaside villages and stunning countryside. With direct train links to the of the country, some of the most amazing costal lines in the whole of the UK.  If you are outdoor loving and looking for a new adventure then this is the location for you, with the work life balance and magnificent scenery, the location offers something for everyone.

Patients are managed to a high level with the support of a committed and talented team of Registered Veterinary Nurses. The quality of care doesn’t stop at the end of the workday, as their dedicated team look after what they can or send to Vets Now and if all else fails, they situated close to some of the best referral centers in the country.

The role will be split between consulting, operating and inpatient management, so a level of experience is required and there will be a mentor available for you. They expanding the practice due to high demand and need to complement their already well-equipped team. The client is open to consult only vets, or surgical only vets or a mix of both.
There is a flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours offers a balance that truly flexes with you and your lifestyle no matter what stage you are in your career. The rota includes working 40 hours per week over 4 days. Full-time shifts are from 9:00am-6:00pm or 9:30am-6:30pm with 1 in 4 weekends and no out of hours.

Currently there are 10 FTE Vets, 8 Day Nurses, 3 VCA and a support team of friendly and professional receptionists, practice management and administrators. They cultivate a progressive and supportive attitude to staff’s health and wellbeing, to maximize their job satisfaction whilst protecting their personal life.

Salary is up to £70k pa DOE, a welcome bonus of £5k and a reloation allowance of up to £5k if required.
