Our client has a group of four branches, based on the outskirts of Edinburgh. They are now looking for a Full Time Small Animal vet to join them.
They are a progressive small animal practice with a reputation for providing an excellent standard of patient and client care. They are a RCVS accredited hospital, offering 24-hour emergency and inpatient care. There is a varied medical and surgical caseload, including both routine surgery and dentistry alongside opportunity for more advanced procedures and investigations. The hospital is fully equipped with in-house blood analysers including blood gas and coagulation, dental radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, and multi-parameter monitoring. They are also proud to offer laparoscopic surgery as standard and are happy to train new staff. There is an amazing team of people who deeply care to provide a compassionate and high-level service to clients whilst continuing to develop and grow their own skill set.
The dedicated team is made up of 22 Vets and 26 Registered Veterinary Nurses across four sites, supported by the hard-working Veterinary Care Assistants, Reception and Admin teams.
Throughout the group, they have a number of certificate holders with special interest in ECC, internal medicine, surgery, dermatology, cardiology, behaviour, physiotherapy and chronic pain. The experienced team allows them to offer more advanced services such as orthopaedics, BOAS surgery and chemotherapy. This creates a wonderfully varied case load with lots of opportunity to learn.
As well as caring for patients and clients the team also look out for each other and place importance on creating an environment where everyone feels valued. They have regular get togethers where they focus on clinical improvement, wellbeing or just team socialising. They also have an annual ‘Away Day’ as a chance for the whole group to celebrate what they do and the people they work with.
This role consists of a range of consulting, surgery, and inpatient care. This job will be predominately based at the RCVS accredited hospital near Edinburgh. The ideal candidate would be enthusiastic, hard-working and integrate well with the team. Above all, they would demonstrate a passion for great client and patient care. Ideally, they are looking for someone to fill a full-time position, typically working a four-day week. The clinic is proud to run their own out of hours night service with the rota including 1:14 weekend day shifts and 1:14 week of night shifts. There is opportunity to increase the balance of night work on the rota, should this be of interest. Salary is up to £65k pa DOE.
