Our client has a well-established practice close to Evesham who have an exciting new opportunity for a Clinical Lead Vet. You will have the opportunity to work alongside the Practice Director to shape the future of the practice.
There is a fantastic supportive team of 4 Veterinary Surgeons, 12 FTE RVN’s and 2 SVN’s and 4 support staff. Many of their colleagues gave been with them for a number of years, with one RVN being part of the team for over 22 years. They actively encourage case continuity and collaboration is welcomed. In addition to this they have a visiting Diplomat in Diagnostic Imaging, as well as various certificate holders and those with specific interests including Medicine certificate, ECC certificate holder, Dentistry, Feline nursing diploma and Behaviour degree, meaning you will be joining an established team with a broad range of experiences.
This is a friendly, progressive, RCVS accredited hospital set in a growing market town in the area. Although they are surrounded by beautiful countryside (perfect for walking allowing you to bring your dog to work and go for a riverside walks) they are only 30 minutes’ drive from both Cheltenham and Worcester and 90 minutes from London on the train. The practice is a Veterinary Nurse training centre, ISFM cat friendly clinic (gold award), RWAF clinic (silver award).
We're seeking a passionate, dedicated and experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is looking to further progress their leadership and teaching skills. This is your chance to drive and improve the clinic, achieve meaningful results and lead the clinical team to reach its full potential. They are looking for someone confident in guiding and coaching clinical colleagues, whilst improving their own professional knowledge and experience. You will be a key player in the day to day management of the hospital, delivering exceptional care and making a real difference in the lives of pets and their owners. Within the team there is a Practice Director who manages the business and any none clinical business needs and your role would be to solely support the team in a clincla capacity.
The client has an open approach and therefore is open to a fixed rota or something more flexible, they're here to create the perfect solution just for you. /The standard rota would consist of 40 hours per week, over 4 or 5 days. Saturdays are worked 1 in 4 between the hours of 8.30am and 1pm and there is an on call rota to cover their inpatients.
The practice has all the usual up-to-date equipment you would expect to find within a hospital: digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy and Idexx analysers and are visited weekly by a diagnostic imaging specialist. There is a varied caseload, including charity work.
As this would be leading and motivating a larger team the client offering a fantastic package including a salary of up to £80k DOE and a welcome bonus of £5k and a relocation allowance if required of up to £5k. In addition to this the client also has self-contained accommodation on site that could be utilised short term.
