Our client is based near Bangor and is looking for a full or part time vet with days and hours to suit your needs. They have established a lovely, loyal client-base and enjoy an interesting and varied caseload. You’ll be working in a bright, spacious, air-conditioned surgery, which is purpose built to industry leading standards with state of the art equipment.
The client is very flexible as therefore is able to offer full time or part time roles and the rota can be planned/tailored depending on what would work best for you. Consideration can be given to accommodate any out of work commitments, childcare needs, caring responsibilities etc. If shorter days with later starts, or if earlier finishes would be preferable this is an option, or if you would prefer to work longer days & have more full days off that could also be accommodated. They could also consider someone who is able to work longer hours during term time & shorter days during school holidays. Work life balance is very important to the practice and to try to ensure everyone leaves on time they finish routine appointments 45 minutes before the practice closes every day. The practice is closed from midday on Saturday, closed all day on Sunday and use Vets Now for OOHs.
The ideal vet will have good surgical and medical skills and be capable of working sole charge at times. You will be passionate about providing an excellent service and working as part of a highly-skilled team. You will also have the ability to work up cases to a high standard. If you prefer a mainly consulting role this can be accommodated and if you love surgery and orthopaedics the practice is well equipped with orthopaedic kit, to enable a range of routine & emergency procedures including cruciate repairs, patella surgeries and fracture repairs although they know this is not everyone's idea of a fun day at work. The client is very keen to support specific clinical areas of special interest with funded CPD.
