Our client is a long-established, small animal practice in a semi-rural setting very close to the historic market town of Newark. They are now looking for a Full or Part Time Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.
The practice has built up a large loyal client base over the past 30 years and focus on giving the highest patient and client care possible. You will be joining an experienced team with post graduate qualifications in this well-equipped practice including a digital x-ray machine, ultrasound machine, and Idexx lab facilities. As a team they are very supportive and have a great working environment and they are an RCVS accredited training practice. A good work life balance is very important to the team and they are lucky to live in a very picturesque, historic market town but within close proximity to many cities such as Nottingham and Lincoln. The town is surrounded by lots of beautiful countryside to enjoy outdoor activities in your spare time, as well as many heritage attractions for sightseeing and a busy centre for the shoppers among us. The East midlands airport is only a 45-minute drive away.
Case continuity is highly encouraged, as is continuous professional development. They provide a supportive and friendly environment where the members of staff are highly appreciated and respected. The practice sees a varied, first opinion caseload including routine care, preventative health care, as well as some ECC. The role will include a good mixture of consultations and surgical work but it can be more focused on consultations if this is what you require, they offer 15-minute consults. You will be required to follow up on cases and they are keen to encourage case continuity, wherever possible.
Ideally this role is Full time for 40hrs per week but the client is flexible and so is open to consider part time applications. Weekends are on a 1:3 rota but there are no OOH. Salary: up to £65K DOE + £5k relocation allowance, plus benefits. Ideally you will have some post graduate experience. You will need to have the ability to make decisions, have good interpersonal skills and a compassionate nature. There will be some occasions when sole charge will be required but there is a supportive, experienced team that will always be on hand to help.
