Our client has a busy, small animal practice nestled in the town of Blackwood in the South Wales valley. They are now looking for a full or part time small animal vet to join them.
The area has a mix of entertainment options, from the cinema to gyms, shopping spots, and a lively pub scene. Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the stunning scenery and hiking opportunities in the surrounding mountains. The location provides easy access to Cardiff and Newport, as well as the scenic wonders of the Brecon Beacons and the picturesque Cwmcarn Drive. There are plenty of options for getting around thanks to the local bus station and nearby rail link.
The practice is well-equipped with fantastic facilities including x-ray, dental x-ray, dental machine, cat and dog waiting area and separate kennels, a theatre and prep area, 4 consult rooms, laparoscopic spay equipment, multi parameters/bp machine, ultrasound and idexx lab equipment.
This is a full or part time position. Work life balance is important to them therefore they are open to discussing working days/hours and there are no weekend or OOH requirements. Typically, the working hours are between 8.30am - 6.30pm. This is a great opportunity for a like-minded individual to join this close-knit group, who put pet care at the centre of everything they do. This role will entail all standard vet responsibilities including surgery and consults.
You will be joining a fantastic team of 5 vets, 8 registered veterinary nurses, 2 student nurses and 4 receptionists, supported by the practice manager. They strongly encourage the team to work towards certificates, they currently have 1 vet studying for a feline certificate and other cert holders across the group.
